January 2012 seems a long, long time ago. Back then I was told by people who didn't know much that a web car video should be less than three minutes long and that overtseer was unpopular. I think we proved them wrong and am grateful to YouTube for giving me the chance to destroy tyres that other people pay for.
I'm also excited to announce that I've started working on my next phase of tyre obliteration and will be launching something new very soon. I'll remain a close friend of the /DRIVE brand and involved in its future productions, but will be offering even more access to my content through the next phase of Chris Harris on Cars, which will launch its new YouTube channel, free to air, November 12.
Special thanks go to Neil Carey, my sidekick in so many adventures and, if he can still handle the general mentalness, the man who will work with me on this next phase. Of course the biggest thanks go to all the viewers who have supported my little show. I look forward to welcoming you to the next phase very soon.

Good news. Brave move by Chris, but the right one I believe. His reputation was in danger of being tarnished by the comical drive set up.
FWIW, I would happily pay for a Chris channel. I paid for Drive+ to start with, until they decided they didn't like annual subs, and I couldn't be doing with monthly.

That is good news! I cancelled my Drive+ subscription due to lack of videos. Chris Harris on cars & Harry's Garage seem like a better bet than Drive was too.
Is concur. Harry's recent Landy video was very enjoyable and I really enjoy Chris' videos. I never realised Drive was more than his videos as I just followed the links from PH. Megaflow said:

Same here. I'd happily spend the same on a Chris Harris channel as I committed (albeit briefly) to spending with Drive.It's in my interest as a punter that Chris and Neil are able to generate sufficient income from making the videos I enjoy watching to make it worthwhile for them to continue.
It also feels better that all my money would be going to the only guy whose content I had any real interest in, thereby allowing him to fritter it away in whatever manner he sees befitting of his well documented lavish lifestyle
