Was talking to the (rather lovely) young lady on the stand and she said the price was 400 and something thousand (still a lot but less than the article states)
At FoS the chap said £4xx,000 plus VAT made it something like £595,000

...reminiscent of the Lyonheart Jaguar project
I believe David Brown was behind that as well. Certainly, both were supposedly to be built in the same Coventry factory which also churns out Spykers, and both reskinned XKRs, although the Lyonheart was to get a more bespoke interior. However, I've seen nothing more than renderings of the Lyonheart - I would imagine it's died a death. Good riddance too - I look forward to this fake Aceca/DB6 thing going the same way.

My understanding is that David Brown wasn't involved in the Lyonheart project, but it is the same engineering company.

So this Speedback GT is being built by a 3rd party engineering firm? For some reason I assumed David brown had established a motor manufactures to build them after all they have a David Brown badge on the nose.

The initial engineering was done by the Envisage group. I'm not sure who are making the cars.

The rear seat is interesting, ideal for a tiger shoot or middle eastern falconry ... or watching vintage cars blast up a hill.

My sentiments entirely - a dreadful looking thing. It reminds me of an excaliber, not how it looks but trying to be something its not with big shiny rubbish wheels. I can imagine the rich chavs will love this !!

I'm a bit late to party on this, but I have seen this car being reviewed in this month's Car magazine. It looks a lot better in their photos than the ones illustrating the PH one!

I think its proportions look good. It is an obvious DB5 interpretation, but I see nothing wrong with that. As for all the keyboard warrior hostility towards David Brown, well I wish him well. He's got the drive and nous to create this and deserves respect as a car enthusiast - as I'm sure that's the main project driver!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but for that amount couldn't you buy two of the real thing even in todays market, instead of this whacky racers pastiche ?........ Forgive me again ! I took a look at their sales pamphlet and I'd have to say on reflection, that it's a very handsome car indeed.

Well after giving it a bit of time to grow on me like the E60 did (in part), I still think Ford Scorpio when looking at the front. Despite its hints to some beautiful cars, it still looks a very awkward mess..

The telegraph liked it. Me, I maintain that it's pastiche.

Good resurrection! They are still selling from the 100 limited run, so less than that so far, they have diversified into Mini too. Not sure how many have been sold to date, only ever seen one at the Monte Carlo supercar show.
