I bought a Volvo 850 T5R off of ebay when drunk one night, M550 BBY, a black, manual estate - sold it and wish I never had, cracking, comfy, speedy and spacious motor, plus no one expected a 23 year old to be driving it.... No one expected THAT at the traffic lights either!

One day I WILL buy another!

I miss this so much! Only sold it last year due to lack of money circumstances frown

Watching James May's programme last night I was reminded of the Wartburg I had many moons ago.
I would love to get it back and do a V8 conversion on it.

GT-Four by David J. Gaunt, on Flickr

Completely amazing. The entire TRD catalogue thrown at it, even the carbon interior trim. Never been around a corner with such composure and speed. It's still out there somewhere...

My VXR220. Number 65/65, the only blue one, would have it back in a heartbeat.

My Saab 9-5 aero estate, sold about 5 years ago. Just a brilliant all round car, tough as old boots. As my son grew / left home we downsized, but still miss it.

I've had excellent times in all my cars (except a stop gap stty mondeo...but even then that was fun!). I wouldn't want to buy the same again.

My Ducati Monster S2R800 came back up for sale recently. Was a great bike. Loved it a lot. Resisted going to see it as I know I'd have bought it...and regretted it as the memory would have been better than the bike itself.

I had a white Suzuki Swift GTI back in the last century.
Sold it when a relative gave up driving and sold me his Fiat Bravo 1.8HLX for 2 pints of beer :-)

The Fiat felt like a barge compared to the Swift.

A few years later, my Swift turned up on eBay - oh dear, oh dear....

My old w124 signal red pillarless coupe, pre-merger AMG styling.
A tank of a car, I felt invincible in this thing. It could shift too which I was really surprised by!
Used to turn any head with a working neck, this car was built to last.
Sold it to a well known Merc fanatic who has put some awesome electric recaros in it and a Stratton turbo.

The car I miss the most is the worst car I've had.

So bloody unreliable and fuel economy wasn't great, not too bad though. It did however have a fantastic sound system and fantastic leather. Plus the one in the picture is nearly 10 years old and it still looks great.

Funnily enough, the car I've got (3 Series) is probably the best I've had but the car that I like the least. Thinking about getting rid, don't think I'll miss it at all.

And I'm pondering buying the last of the line 1750TBi! At least my mate is an Alfa/Fiat mechanic so all is not lost I guess.

Haven't got a digital pic of mine, will try and find a photo to scan in later.

Mine is mentioned on the underpowered cars thread.

1970 Type 2 Devon Eurovette VW campervan.

1600cc single port engine 47bhp 61 mphfflat out with a following wind, hence on the other thread.

That van did everything. Apart from the obvious holiday stuff, it carried full size sheets of chipboard and hardboard, long lengths of timber, 4.2m extending ladders and God knows what else. It never failed to get where it was going.

At the end of my tenure it was getting to be a bit like an old Landy where it needed a couple of evenings a week just constantly fettling odds and sods. So it was no longer practical for daily use.

Each drive was a challenge due to the low performance and you really had to plan well in advance. Hence it's inclusion on that other thread even though not imo dangerously underpowered.

Long gone now (doesn't appear to be current on DVLA computer)

Big bumpers, small lip spoiler on the boot, Blaupunkt Monaco CD player (remember CD players??) 139 BHP and relatively low weight, it was actually pretty fast, insurance was reasonable, I should have kept it, but didn't have the room.
