Only JLR could make something so conceptually ridiculous, look and feel so right.
It's design is obviously better than any aftermarket company could come up with, doesn't seem tacky to me. It also fixes the hideous rear defuser new RRS's have.

Oh god I hate the idea of this car and most of the people who drive them.

But it looks brilliant Imo, and Christ is it fast for something so big!

Looks like a beast but 550hp seems a bit tame for such a heavy car, hence surprised it took the ring record. I don't really believe it. Cayenne is lighter, more powerful etc. The new X5M will be lighter still and a lot more powerful

Can you still get it as a 7 seater? Can't imagine there are many other 7 seaters out there as quick.

I would love to own one, but with the gas prices here in EU makes impossible... it is for the middle east where gas costs as close to nothing...

Please put this look in a more "affordable" diesel engine, like a 4 litters twin turbo 450bhp and bonkers torque

It always pays to do a bit of research before you post a comment like that.

The Standard Cayenne Turbo is 520PS, and the S is 550PS. Both are 2,260 kg: Source

The RRS SVR has 550PS and will weigh either the same or less than the RRS Supercharged which is 2,310kg....or a 'mahoosive' 50kg more (probably the weight of the premium leather interior or something like that): Source

So it's not really beyond the realms of possibility that the SVR could beat the Cayennes lap time given different drivers....

The as yet unreleased X5M though....

Whilst possibly true of the more run of the mill Range Rover Sport, it's unlikely the SVR will be bought as a family run about.
That be true... Probably quite an amusing car to blast over a field in biggrin

One thing its going to be better at above all else is...

Depreciate!

So unless you have money to literally burn if you want one...wait.

That is the most bonkers thing about it.

Agree 100%. With the new series they have finally reached the point where there is no connection to the original, except the name.

I often wonder who buys these sorts of car.

Not really for the UK/EU market. I'd be surprised if they manage to shift more than 500 of them here.

Pointless they aren't though, because they almost certainly persuade people into lesser-engined versions of the RRS from Audi Avants/E-Classes/5er Touring through some sort of halo effect created - you know the sort of thing - sporting vehicle, capable around the 'ring etc. and not some useless heavy barge.

Suddenly, a Cayenne Turbo seems almost cool and discreet. Almost, mind.

They sell plenty of 5L SC which at 510hp is the same sort of economy. The main difference is this one clearly handles like a sports car as opposed to a boat.

One of the following cars is possibly the coolest way to arrive ever made. The other one is possibly the naffest way to arrive. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is which......
