Are you sure that wasn't a poorly recorded excerpt from The Muppet Show?

Hi Chunj,

I was wondering how you feel about the rumour amongst those of us in-the-know wink that a certain well known Radio 2 DJ is planning to have their entire car collection resprayed in a 'coincidentally' similar hue to The Mighty Ignis? I suppose in a way it's a compliment but I still keep waking in the night shouting "Bloody Feltz, who does she think she is?"

It's entirely true. I told him to do it.

Dear Chunj,

I trust this post finds you in good spirits and fine health!

May I say what an inspirational and truly life changing topic?

Having read every post carefully, numerous times, I now realise I've been doing it oh-so wrong. Chunj, your Ignis has created a ground swell, an outpouring of Ignis love I've yet to witness for any other car. I want to be in on the scene!

There was I working towards multiple company directorships, happily married, kids in grammar schools and a few quid in the bank. What was I thinking?

So, my plans!

  • Resign my directorships.
  • Remove the kids from grammar school
  • Divorce me bee-atch.
  • Get bizzy wiv Autotrader
  • Loan from KwikQuid at 19866% RAPS (WUT?), 19865% for Ignis club members
  • Drive throo Halfords, innit.
  • Beefy zorst n neonz.
  • Setup Tinder for some OXO
C U at a Crooz!

Hello Chunj,

I wanted to ask how you find one of the oft cited revolutionary features of the Ignis - namely the central driving position?

Placing the driver on the right of the vehicle so he can be closer to the middle or centre of a typical road was, of course, a masterstroke of design.

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how this changes the driving characteristics of the car, practicality, along with any implications you perceive for future car design.

Many thanks,

Dear Clunge,

In his well respected book, "Ignision", Gordon Murray describes how he chose a specially unmodified and off-the-shelf Bosch ignition system for the Ig (hope you don't mind me calling it 'Ig', it's just what we Ig experts tend to call it).

Since it was specified, obviously ignition systems have become more advanced and I imagine would offer an improved performance over the original.

If it's not too much trouble, could you enthral us all by telling us what communication you've had with people at the factory regards upgrading the Motronic system and, if you would be so kind, insinuate some conversations with heavy hitters in the organisation, perhaps intimating they're not too keen on you modifying anything, then smugly saying you don't care what they think?

Whilst resigning your directorships is very worthy it is important that you remain powerfully built so you can properly handle the devilsome Ignis ...

Remarkable that Freud discussed this very thing in his 1920 essay Beyond the Pleasure Principle with his explanation of Ig, Ego and Super-Ego.

High Lord Master Klunj,

Whilst monitoring the private phone calls of another Ignis owner I heard an interesting little ditty about the time at the Performance Ignis Service Sentre when you funded some of the technicians (I recall that they were called Artists back then, though I eagerly await the flagilation of your correction) to apply special man-wax to your Ignis as part of the in-house development (at your request, oh visionary) of pinstriping alternatives known as spaff-spots as per experimental chassis XP-5P4FF?

Well I wanted you to know that I have a great supply of wax and am ready to polish it whenever you're in the mood, I mean available, but it has to be just us..as only you and I really know about these cars...and the other blokes on here aren't part of our special club....even though you don't know me.....and forgetting that special order which prevents me from approaching you.....BFF.....OXO.....just please acknowledge me.........just once.......please......tell me I'm special.

Sir,

I have been following your thread for over a day and after much reading I have a few questions.

Recently I believe there was an ignis owners driving tour of Oxfordshire staying at some average B&B's with Lambrini on tap. Is this something that you partake in or do you find the opulence of it all too much.

Also what are your views on having no official watch supplier for ignis owners?

Regards

A very excited fan.

I have been in talks with Casio. I called them and they shouted in Japanese, then there were karate noises and the phone cut off!

This keeps happening to me.
