Chunj, I've heard a scurrilous rumour that yours isn't a genuine Ignis but a stbox Mclaren F1 with a dodgy bodykit!

Obviously I don't believe this completely fabricated story, probably started by some jealous Veyron owner with a chip on their shoulder but I have to ask, does it get mistaken for a fake Ignis on a regular basis?

Thread update-

The Ignis is still Ignissing like an Ignis should.

Which is nice.

I recently saw an Ignis in the wild (Ultrasonic Domination Blue - think that's the paint name) and with the rally flaps. It really looked amazing on the road, great presence and I was actually quite fearful if that makes sense.

Congratulations on keeping the Ignis ignissing in an ignissy way great lord.

Chunj, i'm surprised you're not racing the Ignis at Le Mans. We're they scared you'd show up the LMP1's?

It was a typical ACO trumped up breach of regs thing. Chunj and Team Ignis did so well in practice that the stewards dredged up some antediluvian rule about cars with 12V ancillary sockets* as standard are ineligible.

Typical.

*or cigarette lighters as they were once called

People forget that for all it's amazing performance the Ignis was designed primarily as a road car, as the inclusion of the 12V ancillary socket clearly demonstrates.

Although owning any Ignis, even one not as splendid and tasteful as his, shows you don't need to compete to be a winner.

If Chunj had bought a long-tail Ignis then LeMan would be his to win at will, but it would have involved compromises that would make it a terrible road car (like having to lean right in to get the shopping out of the boot).

Obviously this is just based on reading magazine reviews, I've never even seen a long-tail in real life and I only saw my first Ignis last week while sat nursing an expensive beer for hours outside the casino in Monaco with all the other sickening social sycophants. It made even the guys in Smart Crossblades look like desperate try-hard losers.

Not that that is what an Ignis is for, they are for helmsmanship of the very highest order. The jaw-dropping styling, like the price, is just a side effect of their exquisitely efficient engineering.

For a while I had a 'short tail' Ignis, when some fanny back ended it.

To be fair, all it needed was a respray on the bumper. My Pistonheads sticker absorbed the collision.

I don't suppose next time you change your tyres you'd let me keep the old air from within ?

I'd like to sniff it: I feel it would bring us closer.

I use special part worns from the Asian lads down the road. They fill the tyres with 'eau de poverte'

In your opinion (which I revere above all others) is that the best kind of air? What would you recommend for a Vmax run on my own car (which is in no way in even the same LEAGUE as an Ignis, but should be able to reach 105-106 mph if the wind is right)?
