Inspired a number of aftermarket wheels that are still popular today.

designed to look like helicopter rotor blades but also importantly very easy to clean

These in graphite are why I couldn't bring myself to buy the older style RS4 (B8).
The newer audi alloys that look like this make the car look amazing and the older ones look... old.

(Instead I now have CSLs on an M3!)

Ignoring all the classics (CSL etc) I've always had a bit of a soft spot for these:

would look a bit silly on a C-class though. Might just get away with it on an SL though.

My faves (Fuchs, Aztecs, Throwing Stars) have been posted, but have these as an honourable mention

I know they've been said already, but it got me looking, and I don't think it gets any better than M-parallels on an e38 does it?

I've seen them on most of the VAG stuff at some point. More often than not, cheap copies that look nasty.

I think you could probably get away with them on the AMG stuff, but as per the title, it's a OEM wheel selection for the SLR wink

I prefer the earlier Softlines. But then again, I am biased. smile
