It has been suggested in the past that "Mr/Ms 25NAD90TUL" might have been jilted by or left for some sort of Senior IAM observer.

Whatever the story, there appears to be a degree of obsession about both Roadcraft and revenge against the IAM at play.

Ps I'm not an IAM member.

Your witt and rhetoric aren't exactly sparkling are they?

No it's nothing so trifling.

It's not about the IAM.

It is a deeply rooted loathing of ADUK and the majority of it's membership.

And a pathological hatred of Martin and Dominic, and another member who hasn't appeared in this thread.

Bit slow on the uptake Bodge eh.

When I saw an opportunity to publicly humiliate Dominic I took it, gleefully.

Happy to say the general opinion matched my own.

Whether or not the People's Self-righteous Front of Advanced Driving or the Self-righteous Advanced Drivers' People's Front were correct/less wrong is fairly irrelevant....

Loathing? Pathological hatred?
Glee in humiliating others?

Trying to gain some sort of revenge against one corner of the internet by gaining the approval of a group of strangers in another corner of the internet?

Who has the problem?

You pose an interesting question when you ask "who has the problem?". It seems that 25NAD90TUL's experience, and response, is not unique to him. It maybe a fairly widespread problem experienced by many. For example, "Separation_Master" [who he? Ed. See footnote for suggestions. johnao] seems to have been experiencing a similar problem to 25NAD90TUL when, on 14th January 2012, he posted on ADUK [shock, horror! biggrin] the following missive...

why not opt out of having interaction with me?

why not stop contributing to this thread?

I can manage easily without approval from either of you. You have seen members reaction to your continued attempts at character assasination in the other place! I don't feel that I need your permission or support on any matters, furthermore I haven't seen anything here or there that either of you have written that makes me need your input in any way whatsoever, if you say you have given up, then give up, I don't need you for anything.

Go to my profile, here and at the other forum, select the button marked 'add foe' and please refrain from adding to my thread and any further posts or threads that I may add in the future at either forum...

What was it the moderator in the other forum said?

STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wasn't it?

I didn't see any further input from you after that did I?

Only postings saying that m****** had been given a hard time, and that m****** was making a valid and valued contribution...

(this part of the comment has been edited to remove some emotionally driven content that definately did contain some extreme prejudice)

If you would be so kind...

with respect.

PS Speedy...The fact was that foxtrot DID take umbrage clearly meant that he had felt insulted and singled out, a common reaction from what I've seen! Mind you foxtrot is a 'modern youth' to use your turn of phrase so....

Footnote:

Is there something we should be told? Are the two related? Is one of them an alter ego? Possibly a Doppelgänger? How many others are there out there? Surely they can't be the same person, can they? rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

Hi, interesting input.

Are you basing that on what you've read here? I'm very flawed, but I'm taking it you mean advanced driving people in general.

Or is your comment based on some other experience?

Can I ask respectfully in what way are advanced driving people flawed? I'm being very serious here, we've had some laughs on this thread but I would really value your opinion on why you consider them...flawed?

From your posts it's not hard to see why you end up loathing the majority of members on forums. It would be understandable if the loathing were to be mutual.

Wow. Looked this up. Thank you for pointing this out. Very helpful in understanding 25NAD90TUL posts to read the background behind them and it's clear for all to see why he was eventually banned.

MCbodge aka ADUK member

You seem to be the one who's suggesting that approx 38,000,000 drivers can't drive.

Suppose I have to minus the 'advanced drivers' from that figure eh?

Yet I'm the one with the obsessive ego?

Joined ADUK, posted a few times, haven't bothered since. No affinity or tribalism at all.

You symbolise the worst in the reputation of further driver learning and possibly male internet behaviour in general.

I'm intrigued, is your behaviour the same in real life?

I'm not an advanced driver, but if the road really is too busy, I think my method would be.

Slow gradual stop just before the drive. Make sure traffic has observed and slowed. Indicate left and manoeuvre to be at a diagonal to the driveway with front of car towards the centre of road to make it as obvious as I can.

Then reverse.
Hi,

Each time I have attempted this people have followed, they stopped too close, meanwhile I'm completely blocking the traffic. Happy to try again though.

Dom
I would try this, but before moving forwards and angling the car to the center of the road, put your reversing lights on for a second or two. Do not flash them as that is usually a sign of either a faulty reversing switch or an automatic car being moved from park to drive (as it has to pass reverse).

That may give the driver in the following car enough of a hint that you are trying to reverse, and they should wait where they are.

Also when you do start moving forward and swinging right, do so slowly and deliberately, no fast "angry" movements.

Also if you are behind queued traffic, wait for it to clearly pull away from you before doing anything, otherwise the vehicles behind will just think you are moving along with the traffic and not wait for you to position your car to reverse.

Back at you.

I do recognise your internet pressence from there.

No my behaviour to be frank is only like this when dealing with you lot.

You were one of those people who continually criticised me over my adhering to and use of roadcraft, that to you was 'mental and obsessive'...

If we are going to talk on a civil level, can you explain that behaviour to me?

I'll explain a little bit of my behaviour, and this behaviour really is limited to these discussions, I have done AD as you know, I like it very much and have a good knowledge of RC and am a good exponent of the style. For me, whenever I have posted on this subject I feel as though I have been ridiculed, argued with, accused of being on medication, a mental patient a fundamentalist extremist etc etc, repeatedly.

I respond with this kind of internet vitriol because I have got nowhere with civility either. The people involved need to ask themselves why, it is simply because of the way I have been treated. Ask yourself, can this person really want to be perceived in this way? The answer is a resounding no, but the only way I've ever been responded to is this way, I feel as though I'm just responding in kind. It's a big shame, as I'm reading from the same hymn sheet as them, supposedly.

Given that situation, many people might be asking themselves,
"why is this the case?".

This very silly thread will probably have put-off even more people from enquiring about further driver observation/learning, which is a shame

-More knowledge and improved observation, without the need for dogma, splitting hairs, pedantry or egotism is a good thing for drivers.

Joking apart, your behaviour is very unusual.
