'Solo' by William Boyd is the latest Fleming-style Bond novel written on a more traditional 007. Set in the 60s...
.....He tries an FF too and is taken aback at the ability of a 4WD sports car.

(p.s. Don't google 'FF sports')

It's happening, though it's not going to be badged GTE.
God, what have they done to te spoiler since Evo adTop Gear tested a yellow one a couple of years ago. That is gopping; it looks like something made for another car which some amateur has "cleverly adapted" to fit their car.Edited by LotusEspritTurbo on Thursday 21st August 22:11

Anything as long as it has a ton of gadgets and Daniel Craig/Craig Daniel is no where near it. Plus the 'Q' bloke from the last pitiful Bond outing needs retiring and one that likes gadgets needs to come in. If you want Bond to be the book Bond read the sodding books.
Daniel Craig plays him as a seriously f£&@ed up individual with an unhealthy attitude to women and alcohol, and not too much reliance on gadgets. How is that not like the books?monthefish said:

Googling FF Sports is ok, there's just loads of pictures of the Ferrari FF. However, Googling FF Sports Bra returns images of, well, lovlier things than the Ferrari. The lovely things are likey to get you in trouble with your fun adjusters at home and subsequently ruin your bank holiday weekend. Best leave it for Tuesday. In my opinion, Bond should be driving as his own personel car, either a pre-VW Bentley Continental T in dark grey or a TVR Tuscan S in the same colour. In fact, somehow get him a Mercedes SLS Roadster which is destined to become a Classic. Drop Aston Martin, as its become too much of a cliché, (Johnny English had one) and go with a more realistic approach, something that suits his cover as an employee/director of Universal Exports. I say give him the Hot-Rod that is the Mercedes C63 AMG, or a Jaguar F Type V8 Coupe that you see well to do guys drive around Sloane Square and Cavendish Square. Anything but modern Bentley, BMW, Aston Martin and Italian. He's a spy, not a Kardashian.
[dream mode]I think Les Edgar is in talks with the next Bond movie Directors. The new film will coincide with the launch of the latest, sublime, most expensive TVR that the brand have ever made. Thus securing worldwide orders and ensuring TVR become a bigger success than they ever did before...[/dream mode]

"Perhaps" slightly OT so apologies in advance....but lets hope Les Edgar keeps TVR traditional and doesn't start producing cars which are silly expensive. They just need a damn good chassis, thumping great NA V8, manual gearbox, lashings of dead cow and a beautiful fibreglass body...Liklihood though is a stupid complicated unnecessary hybrid system with probably not an NA V8, carbon fibre body designed for aero not looks, loads of electronic unnecessaries, a silly priced options list (ceramics?) and a price tag in excess of £100k.
Should be perfect for Mr Bond.
Surely it'll be another huge product placement exercise by whoever has the deepest pockets?
The last few films have had Fords or JLRs left, right & centre, so I'm guessing the new RangeRover, A Jag of some sort, some kind of hybrid & it wouldn't suprise me to see him driving a transit at some point....
