Ads with other models in the name, ie:

306 lx, not XRDT, XSI, Dturbo, GTI6, Rallye

Shut up you idiots.
Absolutely this. I won't even click on the ad.

ANYTHING WRITTEN IN CAPITALS.

Or POA (not that I could afford anything that is listed as POA).

Or listing the things it's not - often coupled with capitals (AUDI TT NOT PORSCHE BOXSTER, CAYMAN, MERCEDES SLK). I know it's not any of those things, you didn't have to tell me.

Or a wall of writing with no punctuation or spaces, especially if written in capitals.

Pay the £50, repair it and get rid of the sentence from your advert.
An unexpected MOT bill that was almost a quarter the value of the car means I don't have the money to fix it. I don't want to leave out the minor dent from the advert. I can't think of a better way to explain it.

The quote was £140, not £50, in my instance.

When people do a cut and paste of a review from a magazine.
Mainly higher end metal but sometimes on sheds.

When you have searched for one car and the ad has a picture of something else and offers you that because the one you wanted has been sold.
I know someone mentioned it earlier but the 20 year old wrecks that have only done 123 miles really get me mad.mad

Perhaps mention the dent but don't mention that you've had it quoted? Save that for when a punter is at your place looking over it and trying to low ball you.

Makes me think you've addressed the problem but haven't gone ahead and paid for it. What else has the owner not fixed after seeing the price?

There's some private ads which have an essay of a description. Mentioning how much work they've done, how great the car is etc. But the price is on the low side. Too good to be true! Normally a half finished project.

Don't mention it, it is a used car after all - just don't advertise it as "mint" or "in exceptional condition". If somebody rings you about it, tell them straight away. Also tell them they can either have £150 off the price or if they pay asking price and leave a deposit, use that to get it fixed before they take it away.

Somthing which annoys me is something which someone else mentioned on a different thread recently... "starts first time" Of course it does pin head, we're not in the 1940's any more!! Grrr!

I really hate it when they upload pictures of them abusing the car on a track.

That's like seeing your new girlfriend in pictures getting her back doors smashed in!

"Rare colour/options" when the next 3 listings are exactly the same.

OK, it doesn't put me off, it just mildly amuses me.

It could be the nicest prepared adverted ever, but if I see a Bluetooth Kit glued to the dash I wont go any further.
