I was just looking through AT yet again, and it occurred to me that all of the cars I saw that said "ONE OF A KIND!!" or "REAL HEAD TURNER" I don't even look at. This is based on past experience to be honest.

What is it for you? What makes you think "Not even going to look...."? Or is it just me? :P

Massive fonts written by an idiot that doesn't realise ebay isn't like a billboard and it doesn't make the advert 5 times bigger than anyone else's.

Head turner is invariably for the wrong reasons too.

Price is usually the first thing I look for, and any advert that ends with 'Not £995. Real price is £9995' means I automatically ignore the car. If they can't afford to spend an extra £10 to get the correct price on Autotrader, then what else have they skimped on?

Any word written entirely in capitals, although I'll make a grudging exception for "I" or "A" at the start of a sentence.

Anything with multiple spelling errors or use of slang.

"top car bruv, any1 will verifi dis" banghead

Anyone who cant be bothered to proof read and thinks slang is acceptable in car ad probably isnt capable of taking care of a car properly.

I agree with all of the above actually laugh

There's currently a God awful E92 M3 on AT at the moment. That's a real head turner. Disgusting wheels coupled with kermit green paint.....

Short adverts.

Or anything that has "Posted with eBay mobile" or similar on the bottom of it - if someone can't be bothered to sit down and write a decent advert, then their care for the car must surely follow suit(?)

Any form of misrepresentation of the mileage

0 miles
132 miles (when 132,000) or
11000 miles (when 110,000)

any mention of "best colour combination"

Ads with other models in the name, ie:

306 lx, not XRDT, XSI, Dturbo, GTI6, Rallye

Shut up you idiots.

Uh oh, I have that exact phrase in my current listing - how would you say it, then?

I had ChipsAway come and look and have written exactly what they quoted...

Pay the £50, repair it and get rid of the sentence from your advert.
