MG ZT Widescreen Instructions required.
Discussion
My 2003 MG ZT 1.8t has this set up :~
Although I have the manufacturer's Owner User Manual for the car, it does not cover this unit. By experimenting I have managed to use it OK so far including the SatNav but, feel there are other functions I've yet to explore. Is there any separate leaflet or other source available showing the full range of facilities for this fitting?
I believe this or something similar was fitted to some BMWs about ten or so years ago.
Any help or pointers on this will be appreciated.

I'm not sure Rover ever offered a widescreen but the navigation system was the same as that found in the E46 3 Series. That looks like a screen out of an E46 that somebody has retrofitted to me. The operation of it should be exactly the same as the 4:3 navigation Rover offered as an option - it's just the screen thats changed, it still has the crappy nav computer thats responsible for those teletext style graphics
It's not an original MG-Rover bit of kit. I'm not sure who makes that particular unit, but get over to the75andzt club and "Radioguy" (who in all probability originally sold it) will be able to ID the unit and if not - someone there will be able to help!
EDIT : Didn't realise it was the legendary MGJohn! Not seen you around for a while!

Thanks for the replies folks. Will search and investigate on that basis.
If it is an aftermarket addition, they've done a tidy job. Looks OEM. The SatNav's Graphics arn't half bad actually. Works well. Mind you, I bought an inexpensive TomTom ( Offer @ £79 Halfords ~ good value } and prefer that which I can move around. My original TomTom I've had for years is playing up.
How did I manage for all those years using good old OS maps? But, I did. Never got lost either .. and the maps never directed me dangerously onto a railway mainline as some folks experienced when blindly following their SatNav's instructions....
"Legend" you say SC ... not really ... Not only that, I'm now famous on PH so much so some want to activate an ignore button just for me. See Belgium GP thread over on F1. Fame at last indeed ...

That is definitely, 100% an original BMW screen from an E46 3 Series.

Some of the stuff on my 03-MGs have BMW logos on them. That includes the ZS.
This particular MG ZT was once a non-runner. The "In Tank" BMW Fuel Filter separated resulting in no fuel pressure to the injectors so non-start.
The fix was a six quid plastic clip after realigning the Cap with the main body of the fuel filter. The so called FOC ... Not free of charge, the Fabled Orange Clip. Immediate start once that was fitted. Tricky job with a nearly full fuel tank. One or two components have the four circles AUDI logo too. My cars are Bitsas ... bits of this and bits of that but, all original manufacturer fitments ..

I had the Hi line Nav on my ZT-T. Loved the "BBC B" graphics and I really liked the Sat Nav. It always got me where I wanted to go, unlike the JLR Meridian pile of crap in my 2013 Land-Rover Freelander. Despite trips to the dealer and allegedly new software the system seems to think it is in Belgium wehen it is actually in the UK.
Yes, I'm liking it. Want to get all functions up and running once I know how to operate them all.
I posted the same request for info. over on the 75/ZT Club forum. One kind reply gave a link to the Bee-em instructions for these units. All 77 A4 pages of it! ... Take a while to absorb that lot!!!!
My younger Bro's Bee~Em doesn't have one as nice either ... has powerfolds though ... so does my ZT .. Inverted snob value or what ..
P.S. Move to Belgium wildcat45 .... sorted ..

If you press <MENU> and select with the rotary knob below what options do you have John? Looks exactly the same as the E46 one?
Do you have a CD changer linked to it and Steering wheel controls as well?
