CL600 n/a 10.9 sec
CL600TT - 9.8 sec
CL65AMG - 9.0 sec. Traction is an issue, I understand.
Do any of these come with an LSD?

I seem to remember JC losing to some rugged blokes in a tugging competition.

Doesn't ring a bell them having one. The 65 must have to 738 lb/ft, ten years ago!

I think that electronics are much cheaper than mechanics so they're most likely to have ESP instead of actual LSDs. I felt undersold when I realised my XJR didn't have an LSD, (it also only had one windscreen wiper!), and my S430 also doesn't have one.

I have to say though that the ESP, (on the Merc') is actually bloody good! (The Jag' equivalent wasn't so much.)

Just to add - apparently Mercedes underrated the Bi-turbo 600, in order to protect sales of the 55k. Apparently rated at 540bhp when dynoed by our friends in the US, Motor Trend.

I think for pure figures they can't be beaten. Autocar take note.

I've driven an X reg XJR for about 5 minutes. I turned the traction control off and floored it. It became obvious there was no lsd as one tyre started melting and the car barely accelerated.

I can't understand why manufacturers build such powerful motors without adding an lsd.

Quaiffe do an LSD upgrade for the XJR for around one thousand of your earth pounds but I didn't have the car long enough to justify it.

Dunno if one's available for the S/CL.
