With all of those who hate anything VW related I'm surprised it's taken so long before there was a thread on this advert..

It's an advert.

In other news Red Bull doesn't really give you wings.
will you please keep quite

posts like this will have the OP working out that the transformers do not live on the dark side of the moon frown
I don't aspire to a VW nor do I feel one is better than my car. Redbull is artist licence, VW is mildly insulting......
I can't see why it is insulting in any way

"Well worth it"
Sounds like something their cost cutting accountants would say to justify using ancient 8 valve engines in 2001.

Insulting? Are you for real?

I honestly can't remember ever being "insulted" by an advert.

Whilst I think that the OP is being a little tender on this point I have to say that I find the adverts that make out people of one sex to be inferior to those of another insulting.

Anyone got a link to the Ad so I can be insulted? I don't "do" live telly so I've missed out.

I had to look it up too. How anyone could be offended by these is beyond me but hey.

I'd try not to take advertising to heart or you'll end up in a Toyota Aygo dressing up as a car seat because it's "fun".

Maybe its my manperiod-time but..It implies non-vw owners are cost-cutters/chancers?

I see non-vw owners as liking choice and not over-damped average cars.

It's obviously saying that if you don't buy a Golf you'll probably die in a horrible accident.

Or maybe by spending a bit extra on a quality product you can enjoy peace of mind in safety and reliability.

Not sure what's insulting or confusing about it - it's very well done.

It's less irritating than the Aldi advert which makes comparisons with specific brands that are actually nicer than Aldi stuff. When I look at a Toyota Aygo advert I read the words as, "Go fk yourself." Not sure if it's a deliberate play on that or not.

It's just advertising.

VW group is a branding and marketing company that happens to have a set of platforms for cars.

I think it's insulting to anyone who's ever owned a VW and had problems with the car / dealer / VW UK.

They really do need to up their customer services game - there's a definite "we couldn't give a toss" attitude if you have a problem and cheapskate policies in things like the cars only coming with 1 year roadside assistance cover.
