Anyone know what the traffic light icon/symbol is on the back of the new NEW style driving licences?

Is yours amber? red? green?

Do you have points at all?

Just trying to work out if amber or red means points...etc

Anyone know?

Did you not get the pamphlet in the letter with the licence? Its all explained in there.

Amber means you have pending speeding prosecutions, looks like you've been caught recently.

I believe the only person I've seen with this had an amber light and no points FWIW.

Well that is conflicting ^^^^

Anyone physically has this licence to prove otherwise?

Just checked mine, only just received back from the DVLA after a change of address, yellow in the middle circle blank in the other two. I've got 3 points from a couple of years ago and as it's just back I assume nothing pending.

I'll be interested to hear what the 'traffic lights' are for.

I explained it above, for amber anyway.

Green = no convictions, no pending prosecutions

Yellow = something pending

Red = currently banned

Its all explained on the leaflet that was in with the licence.

Did you not get a leaflet explaining it?

Could yellow mean "current points", as well as something pending ?

Nobody seems to have got this leaflet with their licence. So please refer to a link online which explains this. Otherwise i call BS.

Mine is amber as well confused No points as far as I'm aware, had this licence since May. Would be curious to find out the answer.

ETA: on this link it isn't mentioned at all, general consensus seems to be that it's just a design feature. Seems very strange though confused

Yep exactly what i read and heard. But wanted to verify. If you have no points then for sure its a security/design feature.

Looks like mr KFC has been eating too much KFC or smack?

anyway VIT4, if you want to double check you have not got any points you can go to here:

https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

And check online using the BETA system. Please verify this and let us know...

Thought you overdosed yourself with smack for a second there. Glad your ok.

Those pesky USB cables they often go walk abouts dont they? well every DVLA leaflet will have its own online copy too. So in your own time point us all over to your findings....
