They always seem to be driven by people trying to be something they aren't - ie moneyed - when in reality they're probably on finance. Hide the age with a cheap plate, who cares about the engine, just get silver and leather so we look rich!
Utter rubbish, I'd love to know your source for such a sweeping statement, maybe just just maybe the got the car because they liked it? And not because tgey want to impress anyone. Again I just don't get the reverse snobbery on this forum.NiceCupOfTea said:

ANY brand is without 'class' if having a cheapo chavplate such as this..........hora said:
Any Audi.
Any (new) BMW.
Both marques seem to have become insipid. Home of 'buy class' types.
I saw a new GREEN RR recently. RACING GREEN FFS. IT LOOKED RIGHT. The rest look Curry house or ragtrade owner in Manchester done good.
Don't get this at all…does a Corsa (special edition, of course) have more class than a nice 7 series Bimmer or S8 Audi????? Any (new) BMW.

I may be biased as I drive both but I don't pretend to have class. Love stepping out of my wife's 11 plate white S3 with ripped jeans and a t-shirt. Get a few funny looks. Even more so when we had the A4.
May I nominate any Bentley GT????? They seem to have become the real home of the 'buy class' type
It's interesting that so many people have such low opinions of so many cars, just goes to show that we're all different. I drive what appears to be one of the most hated cars in Britain at the moment- an Audi.
When I was looking for my new car I needed a car that could, easily seat 5 ( I have 3 children) be able to tow with ease, fit my dogs in the boot ( estate needed) comfortable, the performance that I wanted (300bhp) and with a fair bit of power and torque I like 4wheel drive, not for the 'safety' but because high powered rear or front drive cars just spin the wheels all the time or the TC keeps cutting the power.
I could have bought many cars, ford s max, ford c- max, vauxhall zafiira, mercedes e class, merc r class, Porsche cayenne,
Bmw 5 series estate I could go on,
But the thing that swung it for me was the A6 biturbo, ticked all my boxes, I really like the look of it and I like the way it drives. ( it's no Porsche cayman, lotus exige, caterham seven, but then they don't seat 5!) and at NO point in MY purchase did I give any to consideration as to what the hell anybody else thought about it.
Some of the vehicles that have been mentioned aren't to my taste, but I have NO idea what the owner is like as a person, the way they drive then gives me more of and indication, but who am I judge them.

Although horrific, i'm not on about modified cars. I'm taking about pre ruined, straight out the factory.
I'm on about this sort of thing.....
The sort of car that you are actually embarrassed about on behalf of the owner

What year is the 7series? Latest? No! I quite like the Phaeton/earlier S8 but white S3? Not my taste. Was thinking of a slightly older 760 (the ugly one)as I saw one today. I had been looking at the V12 versions of these in the classifieds earlier and quite fancy one. Asked the wife what she thought and received 'it's an old man's car' in reply.
But really???? No more class than a Corsa????
Horses for courses I guess. World would be very boring if we all thought the same.
Going back to Audi's....
I'm not a fan of Audi's in white with 20-22" wheels/S-Line/carbon fibre etc. I suppose it harks back to my youth when poverty spec white was selected as the cheapest option and the plethora of bang-it-up editions from manufacturers.
That said I pulled up to some lights on Thursday and the guy who owned the house on the corner had just finished cleaning and waxing his black base spec Audi with standard 16"(?) alloys. That car with the comfort wheels set off the A4's shape perfectly and it just looked so right.
