Which brand new (or nearly new) car has the least class

I happen to like estates (we're on our third). All of them had something, but the alfa was inherently just a little bit special. Probably something to do with that engine.
Referring another poster; the current estate looks base spec and (currently) has a private plate. That this would cause anyone to look down their nose amuses me greatly.
I have nothing against Estate car owners - each to their own in terms of car preference. I'm one the least class-obsessed people here I reckon and don't care what people choose to arrive in. I just happen to dislike the look of Estates and much prefer SUV's - and with all the SUV bashing here, I like to occasionally put down the SUV's opposition. We are polar opposites. I very specifically didn't want an SUV because I don't like the image they project.I think that anything overtly “Blingy” lacks class.
To my mind, most modern 4x4s fit that category – nothing wrong with them per se, they just look like the kind of thing that a chav might buy on winning the lotto.
Likewise black wheels which look good on a (very) few cars but in 99.9% of cases look like the work of a teenager with a Halfords gift voucher.
But then what do I know? I quite like white cars...

I drive what appears to be one of the most hated cars in Britain at the moment- an Audi.
I'll see your Audi and raise you a RRS (automatically makes me a chav) with a personalised plate (increases the chav level by several factors, though to be fair it doesn't 'spell' anything) and then just to ram it home I've also got a yank mobile DJP said:

I like white cars too ( also black, grey and blue ) although I haven't got one currentlyBut then what do I know? I quite like white cars...
I wished I'd had the black wheels off the runout Manta GTEs when I used to own a white one
Would have saved having to wash the brake dust off as frequently

By having a white German vehicle, you are entering a "fashion" show.
.
Interesting.
I would have preferred black or Monaco blue but the white one was the best condition one at the time. I honestly didn't consider the fashion possibilities back then
I didn't like the gold colour though
It's interesting. I spent Saturday morning at my Father's apartment in Salterns Marina, Sandbanks before going to watch the airshow at Bournemouth. This area is the embodiment of buckets of new money and thimble-fulls of class. Looking out of the window to the marina car park, there was a plethora or rather expensive metal moving about with 911's / R8's / 456 Italia / DB9 / Range Rovers / Bentleys aplenty.
Very, very few of them looked classy with their huge wheels, blacked out windows, twinkly lights and most irritatingly of all, their "F You" attitude to parking, where they would just dump their car across 2 or more parking spaces.
Surveying the antics of the cars and their respective owners, never before has the phrase "money doesn't buy you class" seemed more appropriate.

What exactly is this Pistonheads obsession with "class" and what is meant by it?
Given that most blue-collar type cars such as the Focus RS have been panned on this thread for being chavvy, and also a common aspirational car that is the ubiquitious generic white Audi been assaulted for being aspirational by lower class sorts, and even expensive metal such as Range Rovers which attract too many people who have demonstrated an ability to earn money but don't want to hide all of it away in a mattress has had it on this thread.
I have to wonder just how "classy" most of the contributors here really are, and suspect the majority are just as scummy as I am but suffer from delusions of granduer.

It's all about Spec.
as most new cars are going to be specced up to the owners taste, a car that could have had class can have it taken away.
a lot of the examples on here are because of individuals less than classy tastes, not inherently the fault of the cars themselves.
eg: a 420d with blacked out rear windows on 20's with an m-sport pack is obviously not classy. But the same model as a 428 with clear glass and no sport gubbins is class.
but for me, no matter how you spec it the new A-class Merc has no class at all. The old one has class as a shopping trolly, the new one i just chasing the 1 series/A3 sales figures.

I don't think contributors are claiming to be classy themselves; rather they're just indicating what is considered to be crass (in their view). And why not? It's just a bit of banter......Given that most blue-collar type cars such as the Focus RS have been panned on this thread for being chavvy, and also a common aspirational car that is the ubiquitious generic white Audi been assaulted for being aspirational by lower class sorts, and even expensive metal such as Range Rovers which attract too many people who have demonstrated an ability to earn money but don't want to hide all of it away in a mattress has had it on this thread.

P.S.: The white Audi's are not being assaulted for being aspirational; rather it's because the people who own/drive them are (allegedly) all tts!
P.P.S.: Who are you to say that the people assaulting the white Audis are lower class?

I'm just a working-class-done-good myself chap. I generally only buy Angus fillets when having beef, and enjoy nice red wines. I've never been fox hunting and can't even ride a horse. Daddy couldn't afford my pilot's license so I have to work on the ground like a normal person and I have an impressive vocabulary of swear words yet act professionally when clients are around.
I bought a Jag XF. In bright blue with a big spoiler and carbon fibre tat stuck all over it. Worse still - I specifically wanted bright blue and the big spoiler! Utterly classless and a nice, sensible Jag ruined - I'm sure everyone will agree. Why on earth I didn't want Stratus Grey and the spoiler delete option will be a mystery to many I am certain. Then again, I'm not retired and don't like having to read numberplates in a carpark to work out which is my car.
I was merely wondering who all these people were to call people like me chavvy or classless
So many desperately unhappy people on this thread. Very sad reflection of PH in my mind.
I don't even own a car at the minute, but I imagine all those white Audi drivers are at least happy with their choice, and care not one jot what the nay sayers here bought. Which hands them the win, in my book.

Love that colour of Jag, instantly offsets the g&t at the golf club whiff that more soberly coloured jags possess I'm just a working-class-done-good myself chap. but, i think there is much confusion on this thread: it's about the cars, not the people. You can own a car that isn't classy for many other reasons without being scum in every respect.
i'm sure some people with the classiest of cars spread Flora on their toast and that is a far bigger crime to taste.

I've got one of those That.
And a chavvy Hennessey Camaro. Wish I'd bought that lovely Seat Leon I saw the other day. Now that was class!
We can only aspire to such greatness

Although horrific, i'm not on about modified cars. I'm taking about pre ruined, straight out the factory.
I'm on about this sort of thing.....
The sort of car that you are actually embarrassed about on behalf of the owner
Would love one personally!I'm on about this sort of thing.....

But then again, I don't give a fk what anyone else thinks!
I can only assume someone who owns one has wronged you in some way and you now illogically hate them
