Swag is the new 'class' and you white bmw, audi and mercedes guys are really on this 'hype'... Standard, or something....
Can I just say I have no idea what that ^^^ means?
Perhaps its a vague reference to the likes of Tini Tempah etc recent attempts at advertising Mercs in a comedic promotion of their new' gansta innit bruv' image.....top comedy..... scratchchin....classy stuff for sure...hehe

Really??? top trivia if true

I've watched 'white audi-gate' with some confusion. They may well be ubiquitous and not at all original, but they are almost the definition of 'safe'. You'd not get looked down on by many valets for arriving in one.

I mean, seriously, you'd be more horrified arriving at chez 'wherever' in a white audi than that focus i posted earlier or this.............thing

Come on, get real

For least classy car is when people choose a base model of any brand
Why buy a 64 plate base model when you could save £500 and get a higher spec on a 63 plate for example

Because the new car is cheaper on finance?
errrm not necessarily. Quite a few stealerships now do PCPs on used cars....

I believe so. Saw it on a top gear episode, and seen it as an ad question on fifth gear, won me a tenner that did biggrin

I'm of the opposite view. Anything covered in unnecessary trinkets or made to look flashy is lacking in class.

99.9 of Audi's, and it doesn't exactly help when they are bought by the biggest cocks and also poverty spec BMW 3 series. At work all the personal managers seem to be obsessed by black base model 318's, there is a whole row of them parked next to each other.

Funny enough one of the guys with the BMW who happens to be the biggest c*** use to have a Audi A4 and told me he hates the BMW and wants to go back to Audi. Found it pretty ironic.

Any of the pick-up trucks emblazoned with aggressive names such as "Warrior", "Barbarian", "Animal", etc.

ETA: just noticed someone already posted this. Oh well. Glad I'm not the only one who finds the stickered-up versions ridiculous!

It just sounds like a load of reverse snobbery to me, as do a lot of the things on PH.

I'm just a working-class-done-good myself chap. I generally only buy Angus fillets when having beef, and enjoy nice red wines. I've never been fox hunting and can't even ride a horse. Daddy couldn't afford my pilot's license so I have to work on the ground like a normal person and I have an impressive vocabulary of swear words yet act professionally when clients are around.

I bought a Jag XF. In bright blue with a big spoiler and carbon fibre tat stuck all over it. Worse still - I specifically wanted bright blue and the big spoiler! Utterly classless and a nice, sensible Jag ruined - I'm sure everyone will agree. Why on earth I didn't want Stratus Grey and the spoiler delete option will be a mystery to many I am certain. Then again, I'm not retired and don't like having to read numberplates in a carpark to work out which is my car.

I was merely wondering who all these people were to call people like me chavvy or classless
Great post biggrin great colour too. I've owned a similar Nogaro blue mk1 S3 back before the hate. I would also love a similar Marina? blue mk1 MX5 now. This colour, or a custom darker turquoise would be my favorite scheme, on the right car.

Now here is a company which has all the technical know how and zero eye for beauty. They desperately need to sack their entire design team and all management responsible. With their build quality and a decent external design consultants they would be unstoppable.

Have to say that anything in white with black wheels makes alarm bells ring for me - especially (as has been mentioned before) the combination of 3+36 white on an Audi TDI

I think streon DS 3 are hideous things with all the stlyle, class and panache as a load of crap bought from Clare's Accessorys. Ditto the Fiat 500. I know they're cars designed for women but i think you would have to be an absolute fking airhead to own (finance) either.
