here's no excuse whatsoever for those daft "lifestyle" pickup trucks with "monster" or "animal" scrawled up the side. Need a pickup truck? Fine. Putting really gay stickers on at the factory? teacher No wonder they're always parked like s at the shops.

Yeah, sure they are...is it beyond the comprehension of your tiny mind that maybe there is a reason people bash white Audis, because the thread title asks what car in our opinion has little class, what car in our opinion we'd be embarrassed to show up somewhere classy driving, and that maybe our opinion differs from yours?

Do one.

I understand that perfectly. I'm pointing out that its always people with st cars that seem to enjoy bashing 'white 14 plate audis' etc.... just sorta points to jealousy playing a factor.... are you jealous your neighbour has one or something biggrin

Any time I see the typical 'white audi bashing', then I click on the posters garage, he's always driving something st in comparison. I can only assume a lot of these type of posts are fuelled by the green eyed monster...
Or maybe they just don't like white Audis?

I see the jealousy card played a lot on PH, but not everybody is envious of things they dislike.

Maybe you are envious of people with more prestigous cars than yours (whatever you drive), and just assume everyone else is a saddo too.

You're completely failing to understand what my point is. I'm saying if its just random people hating white audis, then you should see people with better and worse cars with this opinion. That doesn't seem to be the case... therefore its a reasonable assumption that its at least in part jealousy driven.

Who are you to decide I have st cars, what do you know about me or what I own and drive?

By the same logic am I to assume you are classless PCP financed shiny SUV driving cretin because you are leaping to their defence and being overly touchy about my post?

In comparison to a brand new Audi q7, even in white with s-line pack, then (by any normal standards) yes your cars are st in comparison really.

Feel free to assume what you like, as its obvious you still don't understand my original point laugh

I do drive an 'suv' yeah, but not an Audi. Not white, not on finance, and not new either though...

It is not always jealousy driven. I dislike Audi's in general, the only 2 I like is the RS6 and the R8, and when I see them I think "nice car" I also now think "got some balls to drive a garish Audi these days" as most are driven poorly. Whereas Something like Fiat, or Nissan or BMW or even Mercedes, you get the bad cars, and you get the bad drivers, but I would rather own a Daewoo or a Smart than an Audi. Does that make me jealous of people who do? No. It's up to them what they drive, but I'm not one. I'm secretly jealous of people who own Maserati Quattroporte's, not measily Audi's.

My car is far from special, I chose it as it was the car that appealed to me most within my budget, reliability, fun factor, nice looking... at the time. I think most people who buy brand a new white audi with the base trim are cocks. I say this not out of jealousy but because generally speaking they wish to portray an image of something that they are not by buying into the audi brand.

As has been pointed out they could buy the same car in skoda guise and save thousands or they could have a better performance car for the same money, but they have bought the audi to portray an image which is why I think they are cocks, not jealousy. If someone drives past me in a gt86 I don't think what a cock I think that's a nice car good for them, they could have bought a a4 and kept up with the jones' but they chose not to.

You come on a car enthusiasts website, and because you disagree with a post you think its acceptable to tell someone their cars are st?

I'm sure everyone is looking forward to your further contributions on that basis.

Must admit there is some thing about white, diesel, S-Line Audi's that I do find a touch sad. But not as bad as Toyota Prius's I have a pathological hatred of those.

In terms of the least "class" then any of the blinged up hot hatches as already mentioned.

Why do you assume that they bought the car because of the image it portrays? They could have bought it, and chosen it over the Skoda / Seat / VW equivalent, purely because

a) they liked the look of it, or
b) they liked the interior design, or
c) because their company has a buy Audi policy, or
d) the residual values might be better, or
c) the contract hire deal might have been better value, or
e) because the dealer was right on their doorstep, or
f) for any of a million other reasons or combination of the above.

Who are you to malign as cocks people who have made this choice? If it is not jealousy then it is probably some other equally unworthy reason borne out of bitterness and anger of some kind.

BTW - I don't like Audi's either.

All a load of crap anyway, as long as you enjoy it and you treat others with respect, why does it matter ?

There is an obsession with anything that is popular to non petrolheads as being crass, Range Rover Sports, Audi S-Lines etc and the ludicrous assertion that you are landed gentry if you drive a ropey old Mercedes estate, no, you just have an old Mercedes Estate.

So many on here aspire to being "classy", why ?. who are you trying to please, yourself or others ?

Class is subjective - for example the green RS will be a halo car for certain people, a white sline TDi a halo for others, while others will see anything less than a bespoke Rolls as inferior.

Also context is required, the green RS will look great at a Ford owners meet while the Audi will look fine outside the tennis club, but the Rolls will look like a plonker pulling up outside The Nags Head.

A lot of this is also opinion and the age old saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people like a rally rep, some a standard quality car, others a big luxury barge.

It's a good job we're not all the same IMO.
