£270,000?

And they are hinting at going higher?

Good luck!

Oh WOW, please please put into production!!! £250k may be a bit steep compared to the levels of kit and interior quality etc on an Aventador roadster compared to the Noble, but I guess with something as rare and limited-run as an M600 they can pretty much charge whatever they want. At a certain level of the marketplace price is no object, if you bring something like an M600 roadster out people will buy it

Simply charging an over the top price for something does not make it inherently 'good'.

People who have the money to buy such items are generally quite savvy to this by their very nature...

And the Noble appeals to a certain group of these people. The M600 really hits the spot for someone who wants a low-tech, traditional alternative to the paddle-shifting, blingy image that modern super cars now pursue. I think that is why they have found a small but sustainable market for themselves.

I can see the appeal but what I really still want is an old one with a Mondeo engine and a turbo, these really expensive ones are irrelevant to most of us, but where is the supply of 300-400 bhp hardcore M12 type things to keep the supply going so I can spend 20 - 30 grand on one.

What has always amazed me about the M600 is the fact you can virtually stand in the engine bay and work on it there is so much space, the actual engine looks really small and compact which is a good thing.

Plus for those who worry about the price, if you ever get a close up look you will realise the quality of construction is very very good on these

£230k for something that looks like a kitcar.

It's ugly, looks cheap and those wheels are truly horrific and don't suit it whatsoever.

Not sure a niche within a niche is a strong definition of a sustainable market?

The turnover of model extensions/new product lines doesn't appear to be strong considering this spider version was muted upon the M600 coupe release 3/4 years ago and still hasn't appeared properly despite PB telling the press how easy it is in manufacturing terms!

Not trying to knock Noble, but I could never see how taking what was essentially the M15 and doubling the price would work in the long run without a more extensive 'back end' support system or any sporting/individual 'visionary' heritage behind it.

What we should see is a small, sporting car manufactures alliance whereby they pool resources and talent but spin off their separate brands...imagine Lotus/Noble/Caterham etcetera all working together as one!

Cadence braking is great and all that, but ABS will nearly always give you superior braking since it can be applied to wheels independently so you can use the grip you have optimally - a single pedal will never allow you to do that.
I'm not a fan of car nany technology but ABS is one thing that I find a bit daft not to have on a modern car, unless it's only for the track
On track it is relatively easy to out brake most abs systems. It's one of the components of many driving training days, e.g. Car limits with Andy Walsh. Skill and practice required.

Love the looks and this is number 1 on my lottery wins list above all else.

Those comments may be a little harsh but every customer who buys one of these has to walk past the Ferrari 458 first. I wouldn't!

PH myth number 4,000.

You can't outbrake ABS unless you have 4 legs working on 4 brake pedals and can think/react at the speed of a microprocessor. Otherwise it wouldn't be banned from most race series - would it?

So would I . I would take the Noble over a 458 without a nanosecond of hesitation.

From the Noble twitteraccount.
(luckily they are better carmakers than photographers smile )

This looks very very pretty in my eyes. And considering Bugatti charges 300.000 euros for the clear carbon option (not including the car!!!), 270.000 GBP for a complete car with clear carbon is indeed kind of bargain.

I assume you meant a dry track, since it's one of the cases where some lock up of the wheels does reduce stopping distance a bit - at the cost of your tyres, so it may not be something you want to do at each corner.
I've done some of these training days and while cadence braking and braking skills are very useful, I find the insistence on trying to out brake ABS to prove a point ( that your money was well spent on that day ) quite gimmicky.
Anyway, for the price they could/should have included ABS with a switch to turn it off if you really want to.
