spare car drainage plug. Hey one of the drainage plugs under my car has come lose and now a bit deformed. Can you buy new ones?

Dunno what you mean by 'spare car' and even a little confused by 'drainage plug?'

If you mean the engine oil sump drain plug - then yes, a decent motor factor should have a similar replacement plug and washer in stock. I have bought many for all different types of car!

I think he means the plastic/rubber chassis plugs that you find in most monocoques. Dealer-only is most likely, but they should be cheap enough.

Pull it out, drive to the dealer, present it at the parts desk and see what they say.

Thanks does it look like a drainage plug to you? Its in the base of the car. I'm pretty sure it is as its rubber on the inside.

You don't need it, just forget about it. Is this an Audi? The VWs on the same chassis platform (so like A3 vs Golf) come from the factory with these holes empty.

Slum it

EDIT: it's not a drainage plug, it's just a pad so your underseal doesn't get scuffed when the car gets lifted on a 2 post lift at the garage. All 2 posters come with their own rubber pads anyway, not needed.

Its located under the foot well to the back seats seems a strange place to have a drain?

Depends how nervous the passenger is and how bad the driver is.

If it's a floor bung and you can see carpet through the hole you do.

Had my Alfa 75 up on the ramp in work for a spanner check before a trip to the Ring a few years ago. Spotted that the floor bung in the passenger footwell was missing but forgot to pick one up when I went over to the warehouse to get the new brake pads, spark plugs etc.

Two days later we arrived at Folkestone after drive from Bristol in torrential rain to find that the carpet and more important, Mrs D's handbag was soaking wet.

Oops.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ could be a blind grommet. Your local nuts and bolts place will have them or measure and order from ebay.
