RE: Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France: Driven
Discussion
Classic 50s and 60s Ferrari are just soooo special. Can't help to post 5:
The guy bought this TR for USD 2.3M ... and raced it. Gulp!
I once thought a 330 / 365 GTC to be ugly. It's a matter of learning to look how beautifull it actually is.
Same here. This is an iron block 2.4 V6 Dino FIAT.
Hugenholz 275 Drogo racer.
A recreation ... but this TR has a hint of TDF on it. A Twyman kit.
Chris ... where's the vid?

Ugly car.
Not the prettiest 250 IMO, but still miles from uglyD.no said:
Seem to recall it was £4.35m. Still, what's £50k?
Total cost will be circa £5.84m
Talking in £50K increments is so vulgar.....(maybe I should have rounded up then?)Total cost will be circa £5.84m
The Auction really took it's time and getting the bids out of people was hard work. Max certainly earned his money last night.

Watched the auction live on the internet last night -different planet the people and cars there I'm afraid. But a fascinating few hours where I should have been doing something else. Rather liked the Race Spec Cobra.
Was interested to know the commission - 12%?
But why the VAT?
The Cobra was one of my favourites. The car was absolutely stunning and almost like new, even though some of the purists said it didn't have much patina to show it's race heritage. Was interested to know the commission - 12%?
But why the VAT?
