How's this for a PCP quote? 5,000 miles 24 month deal for a TDI GTD 5 dr, standard spec manual.

Total payments over 24 months including initial payment - £6,951.92
Optional final payment - £16,720

It my eyes it's a good deal, looking at current depreciation rates and current prices for 10,000 mile 2 year old GTDs, I calculate if I buy the car at the end and sell it privately that I could expect to make £2500-£3000 to contribute towards my overall costs over the 24 months.

Seems too good to be true that. With a £2k deposit that would be ~£220 P/M. VW's finance calculator at list price has it at £456 P/M with a £2k deposit.

Unless I'm missing something really obvious! Did a dealer give you this quote?

I did think it was too good to be true compared to what else is out there but I have prodded with some safety questions on the phone and by email and all seems to be kosher at the moment. Was a car deals (mainly PCH though) broker via an employee discount scheme. That may be behind the discount.

Thanks, still getting totally bogged down in the mire of options, doesn't help when some dealers list standard options explicitly and some don't so you're not quite sure if one has DAB or not because it doesn't say etc.

There doesn't seem to be many GTI/GTD's short of £26K with DSG.

Collecting the grey one Tuesday smile

I'm sure someone can always point to better deals but the spec is damned near perfect and tbh, if I don't do something when the ideal spec car is in stock just down the road, I'll just be fking around forever.
