Was anyone else caught up in this yesterday?

Forgetting about the delays, nobody was injured and it was actually quite funny to see people getting out of their cars and help collect clothes, cutlery etc off the carriageway.

Surprised it doesn't happen more often with the way some of them are loaded.

I bet the matrix signs still said "M6 Toll clear". I wonder if those in the tailback got a refund?

I did think they might just open up the tolls booths to help disperse the traffic quicker but no, they didn't.

£5.50 it cost for the pleasure of a standstill.

"Pageant Champagne" hehe
I stayed in a friend's Pageant Provence a few weeks ago - so the crashed one is the next model up, bet they are gutted! The 318D M-sport turbo 16v diesel sport plus auto 7-speed M-tech looks a bit of a mess as well frown

that's one of those horrible ones with no rear window, couldn't have been going that fast on the approach to the toll I wonder what happened to cause that.

"Incredibly no one was injured"
Is it that incredible that no one was injured when a caravan which is completely illegal to carry passengers in was overturned

A rolling caravan can overturn the car it is attached to, or smash into other traffic.

Related - would the car owners insures be liable to the loss of earnings due to the tail back?

I saw this caravan on the back of a recovery truck on my way towards the M54 out of wolverhampton yesterday.

I did wonder what had happened to it!

To you guys gloating about the destruction, give yourselves some pause to consider that someone's P&J, as well as whatever contents that were inside, has been completely ruined.

Yeah, fking hilarious.

A lane changing incident... More than just the caravan and towing car involved.

Caravan caranage as seen most summer weekends on the A30 in Cornwall.
