I could hire it and then take it to the scrap yard, it would be worth the hire fee to see it crushed and gone for good.

Looks like it came from the scrap yard to start with, looking at the pictures!

£95 per day? Could probably buy one for the weekend for less!

I suspect about one weeks hire and they will already be in the profit...

Why, its survived this long, it isnt a threat, you dont have to drive one and it is, for better or worse, part of our motoring heritage.

Weird attitude, the real world isnt a episode of Top Gear.

Does it have a mileage limit ?

Makes the tow back cheaper.

Yes a stereotype but my sister had one as her first car....an appalling thing it was.

Hmm, nice marketing trick. Maybe I'll buy a Morris Marina for my similar sports car hire company in a hope it might go viral!

Humour, don't get depressed about it, just humour, that's all.
Truth is, I'd love to have a go in one, and then take it to the scrap yard, sorry, there I go again.

Quartic was the term. Abandoned before this 1980 example.

It wasn't commonly known as the All Agro for nothing.

Isn't this one of very few cars that's more aerodynamic in reverse?

My Dad had a wide variety of interesting cars when I was growing up, Gilbern Invader, Vauxhall Magnum and Firenza Coupes, Hartwell Hillman Imp to name a few.

Yet the only car he ever bought brand new was an Allego 1.3 in beige with a brown interior, I still like to remind him of this every once in a while.

I hear that there is a bit of myth going on about that.. Allegedly, or I could be making it up, a good number of cars are/were more aerodynamic in reverse. smile

Why would anyone hand over money to use that hideous POS
I was unfortunate to have been given
an estate version many years ago and it was without ANY doubt the worst pile of crap
i ever (tried) to drive.

It finaly gave up after several weeks of various problems
when upon leaving my drive it managed to shear off BOTH front lower mounts
leaving it on the floor with both front wheels cocked up under the archesmad
At that point i was so angry with it
i went in the house came back out with a sledge hammer and pounded the crap out of it till i felt better
(which was some time) then gave it to a local scrappy.

without doubt the lowest point of the sad BL cars range and the point i switched to ford
products for some years.

Why have a Marina when you can have an even more hideous Ital?

I could probably afford both, do you think they'd sit nicely alongside the Caterham and the TVR?
