This guys a hero in my book. I'd have one in a heartbeat if the chance appeared.

Pedant alert; I don't think Sainz actually drove the ST205 - and the ST185 was entered as a Celica Turbo 4WD - and they wore the red Repsol/ Marlboro livery. Sainz drove a Castrol liveried Corolla WRC in 1998/99.

Brilliant car, i'm very jealous!
Not sure I'd be able to have a stickered up car as my daily though

Love it, particularly in that livery.

Absolutely love it Gareth!

I say keep it as the values can only go upwards, especially if its a good one. The livery may add to its appeal too!

Great cars and a little under the radar for many people. A nice icon...

I went to look at one with a friend nearly two years ago. However it was a rather tired example. So I'm definitely a fan.

Thanks for the kind words, all smile

My long game when I first got the car was to eventually have it liveried up, but as I got closer and closer to being able to do it I started to second guess myself about whether I could deal with driving such a conspicuous car every day.

Fortunately, I get nothing but positive attention about the car. It's generally young boys with their Dads walking around town, where the young'un will stop and point and then the Dad will give a thumbs up too.

The car is unfortunately looking proper rubbish at the moment, I've just bought a new house with an allocated parking space, and it turns out my space is right underneath a tree which is ejecting huge quantities of sap all over the car on a daily basis. So now I'm looking at some sort of awning that I can pull out from the wall to cover the car...

I have the ST185 RC (JDM carlos Sainz model), and I plan to get the rear subframe off and galvanised this winter. I can agree with the OP in relation to spending more than the car is worth on all the little jobs to bring it back upto show room. I have to inflation adjust the original sale price as part of my man maths to justify the cost. Hopefully the value will start to edge upwards soon.

I am thinking to sticker up full castrol colours for Le Mans next year.

My GT4 is still the one car I regret selling... only got rid as had no space for a 2nd car at the time...
Me too. St185 and a bit ratty, but I wish I still had it. Only got 2.5k for it (bought for 2k though), can only think these will be worth quite a bit one day.
