almost any german insurance company would be able to offer that insurance, and it takes no time at all

just google ausfuhrkennzeichen and find loads of firms

Out of interest, why are you buying in Germany? We have E46's over here, and I gather the UK second hand market is much cheaper than in Germany, plus no import/export hassle.

Thanks, So I would be able to get the insurance on Friday as well as the car and exports plates without any hassle?

Why I am going to Germany to get my car; It has always been a childhood dream to go to Germany, buy an E46 (M3 actually) and drive back home. Crazy but hey wink

Has anyone manager to get fully comp insurance cover for a car on export plates ? Or is the 3rd party the only the option ?

I see some companies do an online one stop shop for export plates that don't require a visit to the local reg office. Anyone used these ?
