Congratulations!

Back in 2007 a mate of mine won an R8, but he ended up taking the cash alternative. Though based on the recorded phonecall on the botb site, you'd think he'd been told he'd won herpes laugh

Dealer new stock, ex-demo, loan cars and ex fleet could all qualify.
What would happen then if I entered the Ferrari 355 competition and won? We're effectively looking at a car that's 15+ years old and most likely to be sourced from an independent.

Just signed into BOTB and completely forgot I had 775 points to redeem - Ended up having a blast for the Porsche Macan Turbo with the free credits.

Watch this spacebiggrin.

I believe the classic cars they offer are the exception, they can't be VAT qualifying.

Well done OP. That puts my measly 'you've won 6k' phone call firmly in the weeds!

I love this competition. It gives you a chance of winning a car that you wouldn't necessarily buy if you had the money. For example, I just entered to win a GTR Nismo. However if I had the money and was in the market for a supercar I would'nt buy a GTR. I'd be buying myself a 911 GT3, in Yellow please.

Also, it's a bit of fun and a lot more involving than just buying a lucky dip lottery ticket so BOTB gets a big thumbs up from me thumbup

Congrats to the OP too! Gorgeous car you've won yourself there!

Just watched the video, it was absolutely brilliant and I'm well chuffed for you, well done! I must admit, if it came down to a straight choice between a car and the cash it must be a very difficult decision to make, but a nice one biggrin

going by what has been said above about retail price and spec extra etc etc ive been checking out other cars and price of tickets and ex demo cars for sale.

But how does it work for the 4C? list price according to BOTB is £43 cheapest one for sale £59k has BOTB got the price wrong?

Very good advertisement. If you were cynical, you might think it was intended.

My draw is tomorrow, this time in two days I'll either own a Caterham and £10,000 or I won't!

I think it'd be a pretty easy decision - According to the T&Cs the cash alternative is actually 80% of the ex-VAT price, so that's list price less 20% and then less another 20%. As long as you've chosen carefully you'll be miles better off by taking the car and then selling it.

According to the OP's profile, he's taken the cash. We await the 'What car' thread with interest...!

Surely he'd be better off taking the car, smoking it for 6 months, and selling? confused

His prize, his choice. Good luck with the property investment OP.
