You'll do for me!
You do realise I was merely commenting on what you said (ie that harry got it wrong and that lbsft is the proper way) and not that ftlbs is incorrect, right? Basically.... I'm not agreeing with you smilehehe

Just subscribed. Really enjoyed Harry's writing in EVO, and his videos are just as good.

Loved the noise of the Project 7

Yes, I managed to grasp that.
I was merely highlighting the small part of your reply I wanted to use.

I'm not a Pistonhead so I'd never heard of this Metcalfe chap, but I thoroughly enjoyed that Land Rover video.

He's engaging, informative & entertaining, like an avuncular yet slightly mental uncle.

Bravo Sir!

It doesn't strictly matter because they're multiplied by each other, no? It's not like miles per hour, for example, where one is divided by the other which makes a difference on the calculated figure.
Well, to me, a measurement of twisting/turning power can't be measured in feet per pound, but can be measured in pound per foot turned.
Oh dear...
Oh dear indeed. He's got the whole concept wrong. He's describing torque as lb/ft, which is certainly not the same as lbsft or, the supposedly wrong ftlbs.... Which actually gives the same result as the "correct" lbsft, but his method of lb/ft is totally wrong.
Indeed. Best to know what the definition is before slating someone else's colloquial (but mathematically not incorrect) usage.

Ferrari Testarossa drive and review

Published on Oct 23, 2014
Video gives you a guided tour around my 1987 Ferrari Testarossa, to give you a sense what this car is like to live with as an owner. Expect some surprises along the way..

Quality video. Love that the videos so far have been quite long - enough time to have a good look around the car as well as drive it. Keep it up, Harry!

And what a noise... redface

Really good. I like how you get to see all the details of the engine bay, interior etc. So much more interesting than watching a car being ragged around a track. I like the Testarossa much more now than I did when it was new.

Brilliant stuff.

Harry's face from 21:35, when he's pushing on through second and third, is a fantastic example of the visceral man/machine symbiosis that defines all petrolheads.

That's emotion that transcends performance statistics, it's the whole package, and, fortunately for the similarly afflicted, it's readily available from machinery costing fractions of the glorious Testarossa.

Keep up the great work.

It was Harry's review of the Full Fat Range Rover in Morocco that pushed me over the edge into buying one.

Great car too, thanks Mr Metcalfe..

Duly subscribed to your YouTube channel so I can be easily influenced some more.

Enjoyable and interesting to hear a clear contrast between it and it's poster boy rival, plus learn a little about the models either side.

However, it highlighted for me what makes so many Ferraris totally unpalatable to me. So much skill and effort is put into the exterior with some wonderful results (certainly in the past) but then the part that you, the owner, see the most of but random strangers see almost nothing of, so in the Italian principal of Bella Figura it doesn't matter, the hideous Poundland interior. The vile switches, Punto dials, cheapest leather money can buy and stitching by Stevie Wonder with Parkinson's.

Such amazing cars but so depressing to sit inside of.

Well into the past, like early 60s and before. Else I think the exteriors are equally low rent. Allflash and Bashie if you ask me.

As a chap weaned on Magnum PI, there are two things that I have learned, firstly that regardless of how much money you spend, Hawaii is a complete armpit of a venue with less class to be found than attached to a gold Rolex. Even the French couldn't have ruined it as well as the Septics have. And secondly, I will always have a fondness for the 70s into 80s shape Ferraris, the pinnacle being the 288. Post that period, many of their cars simply wouldn't pass the Hyundai badge test.

I guess for me it ended at the end of the 60s, the Dino, the Daytona and the 365GT - it went pear shaped (or wedge shaped) after that smile
