what fast diesel under 20k

I have a megane 250rs currently but I am considering trading it in for a nice quick diesel seeing as im doing 300 miles a week at the moment and need peoples opionions of whats best. so far my ideas are audi a3 and 330d. Any ideas would be great.

Because if the car is more expensive than youre trade in value it makes no sense. For comparison i do that in a 360bhp hatch at 24mpg ,honestly if you enjoy your car stay in it . Fuel costs will be worth the smile on your face when look back after a decent drive.

15,000 a year isn't that many miles, plenty of internet comments about diesel not paying for itself until you do even more miles. Just a thought...

I drive a mk6 gti and do around 350 a week! It's definitely worth the cost!

Keep the car and LPG it if fuel is really bothering you.

Thanks for the replies. I guess its just easier to keep my rs then as it is a great car. the warranty running out last moth is a scary thought though lol.

Toying with the idea of moving out of London to somewhere 120 miles away. Work would still be here so would sometimes drive down. 240 mile round trip, up to 4 times a month

Current proposed solution is a decent 2.0 petrol turbo - GTI Mk 6 is top of list.

Plus it would be a decent steer at either end.

I was going to suggest a CLS 320CDI as excellent and delivering 40+ mpg.
But if its about lower than mad mileage, get a TVR Chimaera with 29 mpg and the noise.
From what I understand from the above petrol comments you'll be quids in.
