Been watching a bit of evo TV lately and heresy I know , but reckon bovingdon is getting as good as Harris at putting you in the driving seat . Looks like he can drive a bit as well .

Henry Catchpole is good too. I do tire of the Harris gratuitous sideways action.

I think Bovingdon makes some good videos, but pretty much every EVO video I've seen for the past couple of months have been drag battles (dull) or A vs. B track battles (snore). I think my ideal channel would be a show hosted by Bovingdon, Harris, Catchpole, Metcalfe and Meaden, with plenty of on the road testing of cars. I always find they make the best videos for me, and I find those presenters the most engaging.

The Dream Drive vids on EVO are good, but come up very infrequently.

If I am to spend 10 minutes or so watching a video, I would like to learn something special about the car that stays with me for ever. It is about the car, not the driver.

Unfortunately most car mags and media have moved the other way - the journalists ego is often bigger than the car.

Agreed, he's a very engaging and watchable presenter.

What does that actually mean?

You'd rather there was no presenter? Or that they just read out facts without attempting to make it interesting?

They're damned either way. Half the people need a personality to tell them about the car and half seem to hate it.

Neither - Harry Metcalfe for me. Really pleased to hear of his new 'Harry's Garage' YouTube venture.

Bovingdon's review of the 458 spider in the Stelvio is one of my all time favourite car reviews.

None of the above. I don't understand the fascination with watching other people driving cars outside of competition. It's like watching someone doing 'keepy uppies' rather than the Cup final.

I'd rather go out and drive a car myself.

This is the most stupid thing I have ever read.

Epic Drives from MotorTrend can also be good. Catchpole videos on the EVO channel are getting pretty good too.

Jethro was the driver/writer for my group in the evo 200th edition. He took my car out and I went as a passenger and his adaptability to get into a random car and be able to drive it hard is great!
Then seeing him jump straight into the P1 that evening and be completely at home is talent/experience I'd love to have.

Plus they are all very nice guys!
