When I first saw it, I assumed the graphics - for they appear to be a vinyl transfer - were applied for advertising purposes. Perhaps they are? There may be a business name or phone number on the back.
Otherwise it's just a normal car with custom paint and graphics. I believe the criticism was of the owner's taste; rather than implying it's a weird bus/car hybrid dealy.
For the record I like it. It's urban bad taste gone too far, has emerged at the camp end of the spectrum and appears rather fabulous because of it. I hate boring saloon cars, but probably would drive that one!

Eh?
The bus and the BMW are two separate vehicles.
Do I need a massive whoosh parrot or something? Is there a joke within a joke here that my simple mind isn't getting?

Anyway, I think this thread has gone the way the OP intended so we can all be pleased with ourselves.
Don't read this bit, there's nothing here.

Yorkshire number plates. Same as all the Olympics BMWs were.
I'm guessing no connection.
I doubt it because every car registered to BMW for use by the company or company employees on a special lease deal has a Yorkshire registration because of where BMW register them. Search on BMWs website for used BMWs up to a year old and most of the results will be Yorkshire registered cars your local dealer can order in from BMW.I'm guessing no connection.
The cars used in the Olympics were mostly 320ED and 520ED models, few were Sport models.

There is no such thing as an AEC Regent IV. The bus before the RM Routemaster was the RT Regent ÌII.
Yes there is such thing, it may not have gone into production but it did exist and it was a fine specimen of an omnibus Really I was just referencing that earlier wibble in that other thread, ssnphs or whichever it was, well done for taking the bait.
