My MiL drives a mint, factory standard, G reg MR2 GT with full Toyota service history. She's recently had it re-sprayed and is currently getting quotes to get the wheels refurbished. She's 83.

Spot her driving around Guildford slowly and she may well fall into "old farts who got sold the wrong car category", but get to know her and you'll learn that she bought it from new, has garaged it every night since day one and spanks the nuts off it when she gets the chance on an open road. Oh, prior to the MR2, she had a Sunbeam Tiger and Citroen DS. Both from new.

ok, i'm clearly in the wrong, an R5GTT is obviously the choice of car for OAP's and i'm clearly not very observant for not seeing them driving round in them on a regular basis

again, i never called her an old fart, never said she had been sold the wrong car. i just though it was a rare thing to see
