Which community ? the super saloon formation hedgerow botherers ?
Quite. I don't think that the race (insinuated?) of the perpetrators should really be a factor in the Policing of motoring.

What I cannot understand is doing this kind of thing at the TRAFFORD CENTRE, DURING THE DAY, AT THE WEEKEND! Possibly the busiest place in NW England.... It's not exactly The Midnight Club or out in the desert, is it?

There 'may' be places nearby that could be interesting for a driver or rider, but a bit of discretion and thought about onlookers and passers-by might be required. The Daily Mail will love this story.

Modern stability controls are better than yours or almost anyone elses on here right foot.
I would like to add to this , most people with a powerful RWD car who have turned off traction/stability control have scared themselves stless and then turned them back on and left them on smile

Just admit it you driving gods

I think the most important question is why a 22 year old would buy an XF?

Many pokey motorbikes don't have traction control, even now

The near 50% discount helped - one hell of a car for around £40k. perhaps he has kids

showing off for a bunch of mouthbreathers worth it

Mouthbreathers... Never heard that one before. Ace...

By the way, the videos basically show Bradford town centre every lunchtime but instead of the social media generation standing around, theres just Bradfords masses trudging around. Driving standard is the same though.

Trade plates have nothing to do with insurance just road tax.
Yes they do, motor trader policy won't show up on database as it usually doesn't cover one car, therefore a trade plate usually also indicates that the car (is most likely) insured under trader policy.
Trade plates are used to move untaxed vehicles in connection with the motor trade only (example - to take a car that is in stock to a repairer). The plate number is registered on the MID by the holder so that it's associated with their trade insurance policy.

Any vehicle being used for any other purpose other than motor trade (tooling about the Trafford Centre is not such a purpose) needs to be taxed (not driven on trade plates) and even if it is covered by a trade policy, the registration needs to be submitted to the MID so it appears on the database and thus ANPR etc.

Source: I am a motor trader and hold a trade policy and trade plates and use vehicles in both of these ways.

Agreed. But mouth breathers watch their heros on Top Gear, or even Chris Harris on here, switching off the ESP and sliding the cars about, often on public roads, and think it's a good idea.

Been plenty of posts on PH from idiots who think their god given driving skilz mean they can 'hoon' on public roads with the ESP off. They 'like to feel the car moving about a bit' apparently.

No I don't think that for one minute but as with my Z4M as well the traction just holds them both back too much for my liking and I prefer to feel the rear move around a little with me in control and not the electronics and both the M3/Z4M have a limited slip diff too so I have never really understood why you then need electronics as well

Don't worry my fun days are very far behind me now as I currently have a car with an auto gearbox, no LSD and nanny state traction control...the chance of having any fun or getting the rear end moving is virtually impossible, not to mention hardly having enough poke to pull skin off a rice pudding!

The only reason I mostly drove mine with the traction off was because in the dry it just holds the power back too much
No offence but smile do you really think you are more able to control a car than numerous skilled test drivers and 100's of technicians have honed to what they consider perfection for road use smile
The women who runs the factory where I work from sold her M5 as the traction control was always cutting in and pissing her off. She's a normal 50 something and doesn't drive fast, and it was far too intrusive even for her!

Amazing.
Its true though, if you use common sense and respect for the road and the surroundings/conditions why the hell would you need nanny state electronics, everyone got on fine without them years ago.

With my sensible cap on I totally understand the benefits in wet tricky conditions they can help loads but I am not sure they are essential.
