I rekon that will sell very well. Imagine if the finance figures work out 'reasonably'.
I think Ford UK will restrict volumes of this V8, and even the EcoBoost version. Finance figures will probably be biased towards profitable balloon products rather than any discount incentive. Unfortunately.Even as a cash buyer you're unlikely to get any discounts. These are going to fly out of showrooms, in the early days.

Hopefully Ford will do the usual trick of slashing thousands of the list price and offering 0% finance. Whatever they do, this is a serious next car contender for me, other options are 2nd hand buys of either E60 M5, C6 Corvette or E92 M3.smilo996 said:
It is mind boggling to think, Ford only dropped the live axle, an oxymoron, for the 2014 car.
Looks great in this colour though.
Its funny that "Gone in 60 seconds" was shown last night, a few light grey panels and there you have it, Elanor, surely the most tasteful Muzzy (except the Bullet green version)...Looks great in this colour though.
Why, PH, why? Why must you write positive things? I was hoping you'd write it off as typical yank-tank so I could park my aspirations firmly in the bin and end my wallet's sleepness nights, but no, you tell me otherwise and now I desire one even more. I will be banging the door down at a Ford dealer for a test drive as soon as I can. Genuinely very interested in owning one of these - V8, RWD, manual, rare, head-turning, limited depreciation (hopefully), plenty of space, up to date media (a big weak point of my current V8 barge). That grey looks superb too IMO. I sincerely hope it won't be limited to large or extra large alloy wheels in the UK - 17 or 18 will be just fine, thanks.
Speaking of which, what size were the wheels on the test car?

If that price quote is genuine this will be one impressive all-rounder.. A big NA V8 and 6 speed manual all wrapped up in relatively simple rear drive coupe form for £35k, now that's something you don't see nowadays! Definitely a modern day Monaro as others have stated, I hope it depreciates like the Monaro too

Am I the only person who thinks that 'Eleanor' is a tacky car? It worked well in the film as the restomod car it was meant to be but the bonnet pins and round blue-tint fogs look like Halfords bolt-ons compared to the standard car (colour and wheels look a nice combo though). The Bullitt on the other hand is lurvely.

Strangely enough I now find the recent crop of American cars more appealing than the European counterparts . The new vette, the hellcat , Camaro z28 etc all cracking bits of kit .
Finding the new Porsche , Ferrari , amg etc offerings a bit samey ( !!! ) , I can't believe I've just written that .
