OK, they fitted one at the end of the production run, but the majority didn't get them.

I'm looking forward to this being in the dealerships. Already registered my interest about 3 weeks after getting an FN2.

The wing and exhausts etc really do bring out my inner 5 year old.

Does the Swindon-built Civic really have a poor reputation for reliability? If so, I'm not aware of it.

Love the rear wing and light graphic.
Sadly its been applied to a compromised car design which is well over detailed in terms of fake scoops and holes and diffusers and extra exhaust pipes...
It's standard 21st century hot hatch, but it's just too busy.
Yes its a Touring car for the road....but if you actually drove a car that looked like a Touring car on the road you won't be admired, you'll look a tool... akin to driving around in an Impreza with the full WRC livery ... naff IMO.
Exactly!

The problem is it's only 5 year olds that are going to admire you!

Maybe he doesn't care what other people think and isn't doing it for public adulation. Maybe he just likes the car.

Build quality. not reliability... and yes the whole dash rattles worse than a British Leyland Maestro. A proud dealership explained that they had sorted the problem out (unfortunately only coming off the production line) No retrofit solution. Oh said dealership has now gone bust.
Honda have real problems!

Before you spout of a load of bks maybe you should take a look at the facts.

You have f*ck all to say and are saying it too damn loud.

Yes and maybe he won't care when he returns to his parked car to find it scratched by a youth who hates his 5 year old brother!
Somehow I don't think it will generate public adulation.

Swindon build quality - considering that Swindon build to export to Japan I think quality is up to scratch.

Obviously there will always be occasions where issues arise but your generalisation of Swindon build quality being sh*t is way off the mark.

Maybe your right...

Maybe I imagined a rattling dash-board that Honda could not fix on two occasions.
Maybe I imagined after sales explaining there was a problem on the production line.
Maybe I imagined the parcel shelf that was almost impossible to remove.
Maybe I imagined having to replace a £400 sensor on car with less than 30K on it.
Maybe I imagined purchasing an aftermarket i=pod dock that did not work.

Maybe your right, I have f*ck all to say and are saying it too damn loud.

But it's nice to know someone is listening.

Sad to seeing it be toned down. As an NSX fan, the attention to detail and passion behind the car turned me into a real Honda fan. It looks like those qualities are slipping away.

Take the engine; Honda Type R cars are renowned for high rev limits. Why can can the Impreza EJ25 engine rev to 8,000rpm yet, years on, Honda can't match that, let alone push the envelope (like they should be doing)?

I'm wondering where Honda is going now... this car is based on an already old base model. They make nothing interesting and it seems they are going to let the hot hatch crown slip through their figures despite all of this embarrassing posturing and production delays (where they are clearly failing to walk the talk).

I really hope i'm wrong!
