Ah, poo! When I read "Aston V8" in the header, I was thinking this:

That said, the V8/V12 Vantage is my favorite of their current lineup. Not a bad choice! As a fan of "unique" and microcars, I definitely get the Moke. If you think 12K is expensive, you should see what they're selling for here in the 'States! Can't argue with the 205, either.

I would have to take issue with the Infiniti and SL. Those Infinitis are just horrid, though the V8 versions are actually quite rapid! I just couldn't live with "settling" for an SL350. I'd always think, "I could've had an AMG". Older R230 SL55 AMGs go for less than that in the 'States, if you're willing to be a bit brave about mileage.

As ever, it is his list, not mine, so if that's what he wants...

So a top flight Aston is only worth 3No Mini mokes ?..............Mmm interesting.
I know I was surprised how pricey the Moke is but it was the only listing and I did want one in my list

Good original choices! Shows that everyone has different opinions of what's good and what's bad.

Everyone has different tastes!

If you want a MiniMoke, get a MiniMoke! If you want a smaller engined Merc, then go for it! If you want a 2003 Nissan Micra, get... something else!

Nice one!
Thank you. If we all wanted the same it would be a very dull world

Some unusual choices.

I would have made the project car something else and spent a couple of K more on the Pug, on this one:

However great choice for a 90's classic.

There is only one moke unfortuately because perhaps that would make a better project car. So with no others I guess this has to be the one if you want one.

As for the Merc, not my choice but given it is for weekends then why not a 500Sl from the year before. The same model 500's are at a minimium of 42k, for those proposing a 500SL instead. However this one is pretty good:

Can not fault the baby Aston. Great car and best of the lot at that price.

No real knowledge of Lexus. Build quality would be there I guess.

Very individual choices.
Fair point on the Merc, I must have missed that one, but I truly do like the 350, I know, I'll get my coat

what am I missing about the SL ?

Surely you can pick these up with decent miles at about 13k... why pay twice that for the same model which is a year or two max younger?

was there a facelift or something? I cannot see any differences

I hope so, they got pretty tedious, pretty quickly. It was a good idea but in my opinion it has run it's course.

Dump the SL and spend the extra on a Vantage S roadster
