Took longer than I though to find a half-decent photo of a non-barried version of the Polo Bread-van.

What about the Honda HRV.

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plik:Honda_HR-V_(firs...

They have even Alfa-hidden the rear doors on the 2015 model, more SUV/soft roader but it's still a 2 door estate in essence.

Does the Honda Accord Aerodeck count?
Sure does - good one! thumbup

My grandfather had one of these from new. Actually had it as a preregistration so sat in the garage for a month so could be proudly an "E" reg. What he hadn't reckoned on was a 10 year old grandsun popping the lights up and down until the battery became flat wink

I know it's not an estate but I seem to remember Barry McGuigan rallying(badly) a 3 door Ford Orion sometime in the 80's. But I cannot recall seeing a 3dr Orion anywhere else.

That was never a UK spec model, was it?

There's a mk2 Escort 3 door estate parked on my road, always makes me smile when I see it.

We had one of these when I were a lad...

...with an 1100 engine. Rice puddings were safe with their skins.

I think the shouts for 2dr 4x4s aren't quite what the OP had in mind, nor the numerous low slung Coupe 'shooting breaks', in the latter category what about the Lancia Beta HPE - HPE stood for High Performance Estate so it should count!

I had an 1100 cc one of those in that colour as a student, I can confrim that not a single rice pudding was harmed. I then upgraded to a Mk2 1300 which was a lot faster.

As a student a 2 door estate worked well for carting stuff and my windsurfing gear to and from uni

In late 1976 Vauxhall did a limited run of about 200 Magnum Estates called the Sportshatch. They used the headlamps and nose cone from the 'Droop snoot' Firenza along with the Avon alloys. They had a 2.3 litre OHC engine. Inside was bold plaid red tartan trim, leather rimmed steering wheel, and red carpets. They looked black but were actually a very dark shade of red called extra dark wine. I used to pass one every day when I did a paper round on my bike, and always though that they were a lovely looking car, quite unusual at the time.

I though these were cool too. Magnum was a macho name as the ice lolly of the same name did not exist at that time, from memory, so the nearest association was with Clint Eastwood!

That car must be used daily by the gent that owns it, I see it driving around the Welwyn area lots.

Agree, offroady type 4x4s aren't really estate cars.
