Nothing wrong with it at all. It's why I drive the particular type Mazda I do!

When GT3 was released I bought a Ps2 just for that game and spent hours driving a white WRX with gold wheels around Trial Moutain. I was living at home at the time and my dad said it was strange that I would spend all night driving the pretend car when I actually had a real WRX in white with gold wheels on the drive! I took his point and decided I probably was becoming a GT nerd!!

I wouldn't regard any Gran Turismo game as a test drive model, you have to bear in mind that console games are designed to be playable to the masses first and foremost and simulative afterwards. You're not going to learn much about feel by playing a game on your TV.
And even citing proper car simulations such as RFactor or the GTR/Race series, it's impossible to accurately judge the cars performance as the vehicles themselves are user-created mod's and may or may not accurately reflect the behaviour of a particular model.

That being said, i've always wanted a Proto Motors Spirra, based entirely on its performances in Gran Turismo 4.

I bet a real one understeers like a ferry...

Looking at that skyline reminded me of the Nissan 200sx, can't believe how much good one's are still going for. Can anyone tell me what the manual gearboxes are like on them? I still like the looks and of course the rwd.
Gearbox is ok, it's not the riflebolt action of a rwd Ford, but not bad.
They feel very light, mine weigh 1250 kg on a weigh bridge, I didn't rate the brakes to highly, even though the fronts were 4 pots.
Handled very well, much better than the E36 and E46 that replaced it, drank fuel and tyres didn't last to long.
Would I have another, no way as mine was st, it was 2 years old when I bought it and when I sold it I hated it, very very unreliable, the gearbox was the only thing I didn't have trouble with.
Oh and LSD fitted as standard.
I thought mine handled well too and I loved how light it felt plus like you I didn't rate the brakes but put some EBC red stuff pads in which helped a little bit.

They are thirsty swines and I also got through an organic clutch in only 8 months so went back to factory spec in the end and like you they eat rear tyres because its just so much fun sliding them around, I was the other way around to you mine was 18 month old and I had it for four years/40k miles and it was flawless apart from a dodgy third to fourth change on the gearbox.

A few months ago I did a track day in my near enough standard 350Z at Brands Hatch (Indy circuit).
At a few points on the track I checked the speedo reading.

A few days later I bought a 350Z on GT6, left it standard and took it round Brands.
The speeds I reached at the same points in the game were within a few mph of what I was actually doing, very impressed with the accuracy!
