That looks the absolute conkers in flat grey.

So it's a lot faster than the NFG S4 then?

I still perfers the CLS 63 SB.

It will be nice if he can compare the two of the long term experience.

Mr H - would you really take this over a Panamera GTS/Turbo ?!

For a smaller wagon I'm toying between a C63 and RS4. Next size up is a no brainer on the Panamera.

Chris, you can get an AMI cable that is iPhone 5 compatible and there is also an AMI USB cable available. Shocked that you weren't made aware or asked which cable you'd like before you took delivery.

Great write up, keep enjoying the car!

Lots of love,
A friendly Audi Salesman!

Did the article mention anywhere what that (non) Color is called?
Our local Audi outpost did have on in a slightly lighter grey, which
was gorgeous, but a 4K option. (non metallic...)

Answers?

Great Car, personally I just could not live with loosing that amount of money come trade In but I fully understand that to some people that is not issue.
That is one of the stumbling blocks for me. KNOWING you are going to loose approx £20K the moment you drive it away is a tough one to swallow. No worse than other cars of same value I guess.

Thanks, that was problem solving, quick. Calling the local Agent would have been more of a hassle...

Panamera is only 4 seats and boot is pitiful.

Mountain bikers and fast Audis go hand in hand smile

Admittedly, it's a generally hated RS4, but the principle's the same

Well, I certainly use my Morgan 3-wheeler for long journeys...anyone want to lend me their RS6 for a trackday?
Sounds like a good plan to me.

So, a battleship grey Audi estate for £100k, OR one of the "£100k garages" full of a range of much, much more interesting cars, that between them cover all the bases? Yup, i'll take the £100k garage option please!

(it'll be interesting to see what the end of year 1 depreciation is like on this car, i suspect you could buy a rather nice everyday estate car with just that sum.......)
Well as much as I understand your dilemma, in the context of typical RS6 buyer it simply doesn't exist. If you're going to spend 100k on RS6 you most probably already have your garage filled with cars worth much more than that and an RS6 is just what you chose as your daily driver.

I find it interesting that the opinion or understanding of some Audi's are changing now. I get what Chris is saying in the article.

Audi in general do efficient cars. Something to get you from A to B with minimal fuss. They aren't trying to be super sharp, go karts, so why compare them to such things?

While I have had a kitten at the price of the car, the depth of abilities of the car are certainly not in question.

A great article Chris and great to see someone thinking for themselves in a review as letting people hear what they want to hear.

How would you compare the B8 to the B7?

I'm considering a C63 or RS4. The B8 RS4 is easily the best looking but haven't driven one. C63 is immense!

Not sure I agree with that. I know plenty of people who have or have had expensive metal like this (and more expensive) and haven't had another car, certainly not any more expensive.

It was in my 100K garage, in older, better coloured and 700BHP mode.

Only people I personally know who've run these cars all do so via their business on lease/rental agreements. I've never known anybody pay their own actual money to buy one.
