I see Miura, Pantera and Stratos in there. Which makes it instantly and effortlessly cool. Fantastic design, it makes the competition look rather silly. I'll have one in black please.

The Lamborghini CEO said he is "pissed" because the concept is a hybrid and he wants nothing to do with that.

Oops. Commendable notion from a PH point of view but I don't think Piech will be too happy about such a blunt statement.

How did it get so far if the CEO hates it?

Is that _really_ a Clubman/RX8-style half rear door?

Perhaps he isn't in charge?

Assuming the article is true, it sounds like Germany HQ is pulling the strings. Bound to end in tears.

If that were the case when why would CEO stick around, impotent? Position untenable surely.

Maybe that was the first public show of his frustration? Might stick around for the money etc...who knows, but he is a divisional/brand CEO of a large public company controlled by some very powerful people/family and politicians.

Probably my favourite thing about this car is that it could actually be a thing - I adore Lamborghini concept cars; things like the Egoista are Lamborghini incarnate....but it's so good to see something with awesome tech that could actually be a functional Lambo smile

I've come around to the idea of hybrids recently!!!

I thought the same but it would need to be about 50cm thick to cover the deepness of the rear arches.

It's Lamborghini. Probably top-hinged.

Holy snot...

Front end looks like a muppet puppet.

Side looks like a Stratos.

So, it's a Stratomuppet, then.

After prolonged exposure the looks are growing on me, though the headlight positioning is still wrong and ruins the overall look of the car.
But what a nice interior!

That really looks smart.

Hope the seats are more comfortable than the current efforts.

I am a huge Lamborghini fan - but this leaves me totally cold.
If it had appeared with an Audi badge, I would have understood but it is extremely bland. Dull even.

Clumsy, dull and unimaginative design that isn't sure whether it is retro or not.

Certainly wouldn't be getting any of my Euromillions win

I'm inclined to agree.

I don't find it offensive, but without a badge I don't think I would guess is was a Lamborghini

Lambo could just do a half asrsed hybrid instead, just to keep VW quiet. Simply bolt on a larger brushless starter motor, which not only cranks the V12 into life, but could also send some power to the wheels. Use a slightly bigger battery, but no more than twice the size/ weight of a conventional battery. That way the car is technically a hybrid. Even if it can only muster 1 mile at 30mph to satisfy the eco warriors. It can then be 99.9% the car Lambo want to make. Play the parent company at their own game.
