I guess that depends on what you believe.

OP's last post, a bit of a flounce at being hurt by non-believers, is a classic troll response to being found out.

Maybe we'll never know.

who knows, there was a lot of OP doubting going on.

Time will tell if a matching 370Z appears on the BCA website....

Car was on BCA already.

However, the car is still has finance on with the original HP agreement.

What did he get from WBAC for it?

Well the dealer offered 17k for the car, so presumably more than that. Doesn't look like a great deal for WBAC does it? And they do this sort of thing for a living.

I suspect the mechanical report stating that the clutch needed attention didn't help. The reports are often wrong, but it still puts people off bidding strong money.

I sold them a 61 plate S3 for £23,995, it went through Bedford BCA at the 2nd attempt and sold at £23,295, ended up at West London Audi at £23,750.

It was a month short of 3 yrs old, 8500 on clock, and forecourt ready, you would have thought attracting good money.

Its a funny old game sometimes.

Would the clutch really be shot at 20k?

With a troll behind the wheel it's probably quite likely

It only "required attention" according to the BCA mechanical report. This would have prevented strong bidding by some buyers.

Whether it actually did or not is open to question as BCA reports are somewhat suspect but any extra doubt in the mind of the bidders takes away confidence to bid strong money.

The op went on holiday with the car before he sold it. So it must have been interesting driving it if it had a clutch fault.

Hey everyone, remember me.

So i thought i would fill you in with the outcome regarding my mysterious buyer.

As suspected by all of us, myself included, the buyer was dodgy and paid the finance off using a stolen card. He then claimed a refund from myself and thereby laundering the stolen money. He was caught a number of months ago and prosecuted. Apparently this was something himself and his mate had done several times.

As i told everyone at the time, including those who had little faith (you know who you are - people with specific vocabulary), i spoke to Nissan fraud team and got a letter confirming that i would not be held accountable should the transaction be fraudulent.

The police contacted me for a statement and i liaised with Nissan's lawyers for a number of weeks regarding this. Given the fact that i had all our correspondance recorded and a letter stating i would not be prosecuted, guess what...I was not prosecuted.

I hope people can learn from this and be as vigilant as myself. For those who were just abusive. Get a life.

Cheers

Thanks for the update. Interesting one, though I don't remember the full story.

So let's get this straight, did the buyer ever collect the vehicle? if not essentially you had your finance paid off for you?
