So, Monkey leaving. Videos going behind a paywall.
Not leaving a great deal of content on PH is there?

Yes, so there'll a bit of regurgitated news (quite often days later than I've read it elsewhere I should add), SOTW and those terrible "tell me I'm wrong" articles.
Not a great lineup, is it?

Top class video journalist, but were the reviews and articles such a stand out? I'm not trying to be glib here but what are we really going to miss?
Before everyone losses their mind, can you really say Harris's writing is of such a high standard it stood out from the others? The Videos were produced for Drive so not I'm sure if pistonheads is suffering a huge loss here? If his contributions weren't prefaced in the header with "Harris give his thoughts on XXX" would you really be able to distinguish them?

I fear you may be right. A removal of all the rubbish 'time for tea etc.' strapline bks would be most welcome to this reader. Onwards and Upwards PH and Chris.

Chris, best of luck whatever is next, maybe you should ping BT and get on the MotoGP show .... I reckon you'd add a layer of irreverence to proceedings that it could really do with ...

Stay shiney side up fella ....

How many car reviews was he actually submitting that someone else couldn't provide? I think people on here need to take a more objective view on the content, in particular read Dale's contributions on the MCclaren 650s sprint

If it hasn't been said already, PH should start trying to get Henry Catchpole on board. Great writer IMO, better than Monkey, though not perhaps as good on screen?

Thanks Chris for the Video's, I liked the F type coupe. Now is it true you are the STIG in the next TG series? or are you doing some test drives for the TG team, now their Argentinian trip has been cut short and they need to fill air time?

An end of an era. We dropped quite lucky for the past couple of years really, Chris Harris worked for PH as well as Drive. The content was created for Youtube but the discussions were had on PH with the car reviewers input. I can't really think of a situation where that's happened before and I can't see it happening again!

A shame really, there's been some brilliant threads created off the back of the videos. I certainly understand how differentials work after the P1 thread hehe

Thanks Chris. Your writing had personality and wit and, for those of us who value the relationship of human and machine, your insights gave some substance to the imaginings us petrolheads indulge. Your enthusiasm for the sheer life affirming joy of a drive has helped brighten many moments along with your broad church of likes and dislikes. I look forward to seeing where your next ventures take you. God speed waveybeer

Sorry to read that you are leaving, Mr Harris. You will be missed around here.

On the other hand, it's not all bad news - I'll now be spared the sight of that suit you dragged out whenever PH sent you to cover a motorshow......

Keep it on the tarmac bits and revisit us once in a while.
