Hi all, I am having a little trouble with my peug 307 2.0 HDI terbo 04 plate and wondering if anyone has had this fault?
My anti pollution light came on driving up the motor way, it put the car in limp mode. A few days later I noticed my back lights weren't working.. I have researched it on the net and loads of people have chucked lots of money at it

Can anyone give me some advise (not 'don't get a French car')

Scrap it and then don't get another French car.

More seriously with these its normally down to the fluid for the dpf system has ran dry and needs refilling not cheap something like £35 per litre for it and it takes around 4-5 liters if I remember.

But being French it could be another sensor has gone down releated to the emissions system.

In other words avoid French cars or diesel French cars anyway.

well that was the exact response I expected lol.

Yes I got the car diagnosed yesterday, it came up with DPF fault.
Rather than spending loads to top up tank and then find out I need a new DPF filter, I think i'm going to get it cut out and remapped.

Does anyone know a good reliable company for DPF removal that don't try have your eyes out?

P.s I love my French car.. although electrics are shocking still comfy as Fooook with a solid engine!

DPF Removal is technically an MOT failure (if spotted).

Extremely hard to do with a visual check, given the unit itself will still be there.

Great to hear, well I'm sure that's another to add to my list (already have sub wired through the engine bay)

I think I will risk it to be honest as I don't fancy paying £700+ for fault that could come back at any time that I can resolve with a remap.
