It was built in an era when most things were done by hand, meaning I can repair most all of it with mine smile

BMW's have a holder for the bayonet petrol filler cap underneath the bodywork panel so that is doesn't hang down when you are re-fuelling.

Didn't realise how much this seemingly insignificant feature mattered until I ventured into Audi territory for a few months.

Actually another one to add, which certainly wasn't planned by the manufacturer, behind the handbrake is a recessed tray, which is precisely the right size for an iPhone 5s!
Range Rover Classic has the same feature on top of the dashboard.
Shame they didn't put that forethought into rust proofing.
hehe

The app that tells me where my car is, what it's doing, if it's locked, how many mpg it does... etc etc...

Waste of time and energy... but quite fun.

Nothing as grand as most of the above, but I do like the starter button fitted to my car.

The 'nut cooler' air vent just at the bottom of the steering column that directs cool air at your family jewels in Summer. And presumably warm air in Winter (I'll find out later this year)

Side mirrors that automatically angle downards to show you the kerb as soon as you engage reverse gear.
Range rover?

Then you will be wanting a bit of rag or sponge to poke up the hole, 'nut cooler' in summer 'nut freezer' in winter.

The 650:
The way it sounds like a CanAm car overtaking a 355 from 4k to 6k.
Its silent at motorway speeds.
Its a gray BMW that blends in with every other eurobox on the road, you can park it anywhere and it won't get a second glance.

TVR:
It can be a convertible or taga.
Cheap tyres.

Range Rover:
Feels like a new pair of wellys, makes me want to jump in the puddles.

Old racer:
It spits fire!

The small coat-hook located on the inside corner of the passenger-side headrests in Volvos. Perfect for hanging a jacket on without it blocking your blind-spot like it does on every other car when you hang your jacket from the rear seat grab-handle.

Perfect small and cheap feature that nobody else does.

I have a similar feature, on a car that isnt a volvo, there is a hook on the mid-pillar behind the front seats. Perfect.

Clutch foot rest, is useful, auto dimming rear view is great for motorway more than anything else, I'm sure there are other features I take for granted.

The fact that where the A pillar meets the dashboard there is a little triangle window in front of the door. This has enabled me to mount my phone holder in such a way that it is right next to the steering wheel and is out of my field of visi..... Sorry I fell asleep there hehe

I like the shape of the door mirrors as well.

The phosphorus blue interior lighting - very cool at night

The minimal amount of buttons on the fascia.
Touch sensitive overhead reading lights - no buttons/'click-click'.
Heated, memory seats/mirrors.
Reversing camera very handy when parking up against low walls/obstructions.
The little arrow above the fuel level indicator which tells you what side the fuel flap is on. (Useful if you drive more than one car & fill up each!)

The fact the boot is flat and the rear seats fold completely, so I can not only slide stuff in and out easily but I can sit in it afterwards.

Granted the sitting in the boot is not an everyday use but its very handy if you dont want to get the inside of the car covered in muck and crap when your out and about, plus it makes it easier for the dog to get in.

That's about as exciting as a Signum can get.

A small feature I like about all older Jags is the mirror mounted on the inside of the glove box lid. Very useful for ensuring the immaculate balance of one's handlebar moustache! Here is the one in my XJ40. It's features like this that make an old Jag feel like it was designed for a gentleman.

Or, as it is on the passenger side, your boyfriend? biggrin
