Who's gone to the trouble of removing their tax discs?
Discussion
Renewed my tax in August so there is a disc in place. In no rush to remove it. Having driven for 20 odd years with a tax disc in the window I don't really notice its there. Its not as if it obstructs your view. It'll probably still be there next August unless it falls off before then.

this tax disc thing has brought out some weirdness in people. Admittedly I am a bit finnicky about things, so there's no way I'd leave it in, but it sounds weird to me to hear some people say they can't be bothered to remove it. It's like un-peeling a pay and display ticket - how lazy are you exactly?! Also the "i've paid for it, so it's staying put" is just weird - it's not the disc you've paid for anymore, being the whole point. 80% of people don't even know anything about any of it anyway, the post office will have their heads done in explaining it to every fker that walks in the door over the next 12 months.
Because I don't think it's simply a case of removing it. The holders been stuck in place for 7 years now..s p a c e m a n said:
Are these embossed in any way or are they just printed bits of paper?

it's a fking cheek calling it rare and collectible, they are the opposite of rare. Why the fk would anyone buy one anyway, surely everyone had to have one until the other day so if they wanted it, they just have to keep it. Typical eBay chancer bullst wkery.
The last few (1000's) issued in the last half off September were just printed on to an A4 sheet off paper and you had to cut out the tax disc, I know this as my dad did it for one off the vans I believe the DVLA ran out of perforated paper
