What chances the new C63 having a few discrete (not) F1 Champ badges splashed inside and out after Mercedes scooped the Constructors Title.

People say "what if it goes wrong" but in 50,000 miles of M5 ownership I have only had the usual oil changes, tyres, discs and pads. Only a Vanos resistor burn out has been unexpected, the quote to fix it from Oxford BMW was £1700 parts and £1300 labour. Mr Vanos did it for £60... The reality is these cars are beautifully built and economically repairable if you do the research. I paid £10k for her 50.000 miles ago, enjoyed her every day, she returns 20.4 mpg and is far and away the best car I have owned. What else can you buy for £10k with near 400BHP?
Agree, I share much the same experience with mine (although my 2000 M5 is rusting on every body panel, mechanically it is sound - touch wood)....
Plus it is a manual, a rare treat in the current field of auto V8 uber saloons.

The official stats for the supercharged C36 are 'cautious' to say the least. That car has way more than 360 horsepower. It's faster than the later 5.5 V8.
The W203 C32, is still one of the most under-rated and fastest cars I have ever had the pleasure of nailing!

Not as quick as my current car but damn, I would still have to think twice! These cars are warp-factor cars.

Likewise, I've had a C43 for 4 years and about 25,000 miles and the running costs have not been specific to it being an AMG, but being a 10-15 year-old Mercedes.

Stuff like replacing the single wiper, heater fan, air con compressor, wheel refurb, steering wheel refurb, exhaust repair... Changing spark plugs, engine oil and transmission fluid can be expensive but that applies to Merc's normal V6s too.

Costs of tyres and brake pads aren't bad, but the front brake discs will hurt a bit whenever that job comes up.

But if you want a 200-250hp/ton family car, it is going to cost you somehow.

To you both, I sit corrected! Genuinely never seen or heard of one before!
Wouldnt say no to one of these.
VEry almost bought a c43amg back in the day, but ended up with the Evo. Id be tempted to get a c55 or maybe 63 should the arrival of the new C63 drop the prices sufficiently !

Having owned a C63 (2013MY) for 2 years, I find that figure extremely hard to believe, unless you only ever drive like Miss Daisy (and even then...).

6000 Miles, 22.3MPG, Average Speed 45mph. MY2012 Performance Pack Plus, so the 487BHP one. You must have broken yours!

Each to their own Fatboy.

I think the C63 is one of those cars that 90% of car enthusiasts appreciate. I don't own one but would probably choose it over any other sports saloon today.

It normally looks much better with the red needle in the middle round to the right.

C63s turn petrol into Adrenalin very effectively for most people.

Not at all (see below) however 22.3mpg on the OBC does not equal 22.3mpg actual. More like 20-odd mpg (mine averaged 20.05mpg according to my calculations).

The W203 C32 was also available as a hatchback, albeit in limited numbers and LHD only
I would love for you to show us a picture one, because I'm pretty sure the it doesn't exist.
One of the car rags did a review of this versus a Cerbera over in Germany. Right little beast.
