I found out a week later she bought a new Hyundai i10....£14.5k! When everything was totted up, I was gob smacked!
Really, £14.5k on an i10? I doubt it's even possible to spec an i10 high enough to spend that much without paying well over list price.

EDIT: Hyundai's website says the most you can spend on an i10 is just under £13k, that's including 5 years of servicing for 650 quid. Also, I have no doubt somewhere like Drive The Deal could get you one for considerably less than that.

I was gobsmacked...

Top of the range auto, 5 years finance @ 9%, Gap, super guard, alloy cover etc.

Not a bean of discount on anything either...

Anyone who is that monumentally stupid fully deserves to be relieved of nearly 15 grand for a Hyundai i10. They may well be a nice little car, but they're not 15 grands worth of nice little car.

I had a look on DTD, they reckon they can get you a fully specced, top of the range, 1.2 Auto i10 for £10.8k. Admittedly, I don't think that includes the 5 years of servicing, but even if you add that on, it'd still be under £11.5k.
