So I'm guessing you bought it as an AUC as it's still under a BMW warranty?

So how much depreciation are you budgeting for a month?

Which garage have you sold your RS6 to as I have a friend who's looking for one?

See my garage - I'm expecting it to be worth at most £8k in 6 years with c13k pa miles - I was given a PCP GFV of c£8k after c4 years which may or may not have equity.

PM me re the garage and I'll send you the details. Its not yet been on their website as they wanted to refurb all 4 wheels and repaint the rear bumper as it had a scuf and two scratches. They took my car last Friday night and it appeared they had it booked in today to sort out those niggles.

Nope few months ago actually.
Nope - you were still commenting on it up to the 21st Sept going on about 1.5mm usage over a certain period meaning your RS6 tyres would last 18,000miles. Seems like you would be better with a Nissan Micra.

Nope I commenced that thread months ago and only on that date updated it with a fresh tread depth reading.

30 all or is it fresh balls?

Oh one last thing for all you RS6 doubters - I've just opened up today post and see below my VED reminder (no longer relevant as its out of my ownership).

I don't have custard but a book of Royal Mail stamps is on it.

wink. Game set and match

I might pop outside later to take a pic inside my new car - note "might"

Welshy, it really doesn't matter what you post up because nearly everyone is still sceptical and as such, your reputation will never fully recover.

I know WB has had some questionable past posts. However everyone makes mistakes. Perhaps it might be time to stop hounding the guy and give him a second chance? The hounding does get a bit predictable. It was amusing, but is rather tiring now. Just my 2p as a PH reader. I don't even know the guy smile

Back on topic...

To a lesser degree, I understand what it is like buying an uber "barge bargain", then discovering the harsh reality, re: running costs. It is one thing to say before a purchase, "yeah, I'll be spunking a load on fuel and a grand for tyres each time, plus pricey consumables and maybe even a bork fund, bring it on...". It is quite another to keep that going over and over again and paying out for the costs. Personally I have enjoyed my share of cars technically out of my league. Sometime I got away with it. Sometimes not! When paying out for a car starts eating into your other hobbies or life style it has gone too far IMO.

Besides, it is very possible to have far more fun at lower speeds on a vastly lower budget. All it takes is to get over using a car as some sort of Top Trumps BHP war status symbol. IMHO of course smile

If I were in Welshy's shoes, I'd post a picture of the green slip from the V5 along with a tin of Bird's finest! That'll disprove the cynics in the house!

Posting up the log book which was done previously the VED renewal received today all the keys.

Not sure really what else people would really need - though one did previously ask for me to post up my insurance document....hmmm never going to happen.

What of the new car? Can do - don't have custard but can substitute for something in the cooking cabinet.
Not possible on the RS6 - that's gone and I did post a pic of that to counter those who didn't believe - though even with that they didn't believe.

Nope because its private and has all my details on it - would you post up personal details like that online?

Some people, such as yourself forgive, others don't and when people have asked Mr Beef to prove he owns certain vehicles, he doesn't.
Some people will say fair play for not caving in to the peer pressure and others will remain sceptical and doubt him.

On this occasion, he would do himself a few favours by snapping a couple of photos with some custard and the VED.

The guys bought a diesel 5 Series not a Bugatti Veyron. I'm sure much of what he posts is total bunkum (Finance director? Really?) but this one hardly seems far fetched.

Not custard but pesto sauce.

Just ran out to get an internal pic of the car - check the time on the dash (its pushing it with rain here so that's the best I can do)

Check out the huge Pro Nav screen smile.

55k miles Welshbeef? What happened to those plans for a brand new 3 Series? hehe

Nice to see yours is almost as hilarious fuel economy wise as my 530d when used for short trips though, 21mpg isn't bad hehe

Couldn't justify the depreciation and I wanted RWD not AWD - as it happened I had gone down to the dealers to look at 5 f30 330ds they had instead I just saw this in the used car lot loved its looks got inside it decision was made even before the test drive.

This one fits the family better too which ticks the box.

Lol fuel economy --- it is my first tank but yep 21mpg from an 8 speed 535d smile I did mention it was spirited driving. I really like driving it and totally agree the short trips don't do fuel economy any favours in it. I really like the fact they don't have a water temp gauge instead its an oil temp so its treated really gently until its up to 100 (just like all my old cars up to temp first then use the power).

I've not yet tried the park assist function - also no idea how I rip the music to the HD? All my music is iTunes and I believe its MPEG only.... God knows how you convert in pretty crap on such things.
