It seems to be plenty quick enough at racking up mileage, from WB's garage "Current car"

Bought for £24,495 in October 2014 at 55,000 miles. Now worth about £8,000 at 133,000 miles.
errrmm..
Plenty of iditots reply ongoing here shame.

Anyway as I've said plenty of times before I use the garage as a tool to track spend or expected spend (take a look at the date the ownership is up to 2020. (Did you notice I had forecast brake fluid change in 2018 and 2 sets of new tyres etc?))

Never hurts to add another eh? wink

All joking aside, and out of real interest, what colour did you go for? I find it's quite a sensitive shape with regards to that.

I've only come across Welshbeef a few times on this forum and was left thinking really each time.

Now linking things together, I'm now putting two and two together.

Pistonheads does seem to have a lot of characters.

Got to be a bit of fun thing?

You must be an amazing financial director. The economic climate is steadied by your ability im sure.

Good luck. Looks like a choice made with the head. Wish I was better at that.

So, what made you get rid of the RS6 - you haven't had it that long have you?

Just over a year - the original intention was to run it in between the need for the big pricy service items which is exactly what I did.
But when all was said and done on average total car cost was £747pcm which while I can afford to do that I'd rather spend that money on my kids. Also got very tired going to the petrol station.

New car should cost c£300-350pcm less for an 8-9year newer car withodern toys which I'd missed a bit in the RS6.

Its an itch I had to scratch and will fondly remember it

Need to take lots more pics - and I don't yet know how to edit the pic to wipe the numberplate.

Large thirsty barges can be fun. I've had a few and enjoyed my time with them. However the running costs are daft. So once you have ticked the box I can fully understand moving on. Besides, in my view you can have a lot more fun at slower speeds in smaller lighter cars. The thousands of pounds of spare cash is just another added bonus.

Side view with the lovely 19" rims.

Full specification is listed in my garage for the car but I will set up a seperate thread for the new car in Readers cars.

There are plenty of 'characters' on PH, and a lot of people clearly making stuff up. I'm aware of the background, but still don't really understand why some bores see the need to leap on any post by WB and drag the same old stories up - PH: bullying matters!

OP: that's a significant monthly cost on the RS6! It seems higher than it should be, but if it's right I can see why you decided to change. At least you got to try something interesting/different (before BMW diesel!). Good luck with new car.
